OK OK, I let it go..........for now. We each live and survive by our own code and beliefs, enough said.

T minus 3 weeks till a much needed vacay. Sept. 7 countdown. Spent all day at the corp. office today. I am now health dept. and FDA certified in all 50 states. ...See it is safe to eat my yummy bbq....... and beef jerky(to all of those who got some). BTW I am currently scouting brave souls to be willing guinea pigs (I mean recipients) for a huge batch during my vacay.... PM's welcome, some will be answered. ;).

Good luck with that, it's solid wood with a heavy deadbolt. But, if you like sporting a walking boot, you're free to try. ;)

I'm rather concerned that it is not doubly re-enforced with 3" gauge steel rods and concrete filled in between ;)

    As compared to when exactly?!

A few hundred years ago when the majority belief and consensus among the then intellectuals was that the Earth was flat? Or when it was commonly believed that there existed 3 Continents consisting of: Africa, Asia and Europe? Or when the Sun was thought of as being a giant wood burning furnace which orbited around Earth?

Oh never mind, because there are still some sheeple who adhere to the above beliefs :D

And some, are just too stoned to care...... ;)

The Steelers’ top two running backs were arrested together today.

Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount, Pittsburgh’s first- and second-string running backs, were in a car together and stopped by Ross Township Police this afternoon. Detective Brian Kohlhepp of the Ross Police Department tells PFT that a motorcycle officer smelled marijuana smoke coming from the car and pulled it over. Police found a baggy containing about 20 grams of marijuana in the car.

A football career can be fleeting..... sad new from the Cowboys:

One of the Cowboys’ young defensive players has reportedly received some unfortunate news.

Second-year linebacker DeVonte Holloman has been advised by doctors to give up football due to a neck injury, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Thursday, according to Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

It's time. First-round pick Jason Verrett (shoulder) expected to make NFL debut Sunday vs. 49ers. Comes near home for Fairfield native.

Don't be looking for height - unless you mean 41" vertical jump. :D

We won't really see what he has until later on this year - but you have to start sometime, and this weekend is as good as any as long has he can survive without injury or too much embarrassment. Going against M-80 and company every day should have been a huge help to the lad's (errr.....) "growth".

I think we may like hell out of him by the time he is a 3rd year vet - hope so - he got drafted instead of my D-linesman I wanted. ;)

I saw some choice tweets (don't remember from whom), but they were saying what was lost in all the criticism of the poor D-line play against the Seahawks, was how badly the LBs played. They didn't set the edge, they took terrible angles, and they generally played with poor technique. The way the Seahawks ran all over us was as much their fault in his view, as the D-line getting pushed back.

Missouri Defensive Coordinator Dave Steckel Taught His Team How To Dougie

    http://www.tddaily.com/media/missou...-steckel-taught-his-team-how-to-dougie-video/

I don't know if this is gonna work but what the hell.

Jus happen to see this on 10 o'clock news and I got a good laugh. What a year if my tigers can be the icing on this year's football cake. I'm sure I won't be the only one who gets a laugh out of this.

I don't know who was saying it either - but have to agree with them, our Front 7 looked pretty much like :poop::poop::poop: with rare exception. After Lissemore was taken out by an illegal hit on his ankle, I got the opportunity to see Geather and Carrethers do a lot of work. IMHO, the rook is going to take a few years, just like Jamal did, before he should be asked to come into his own - in the mean time, watch MM kind of "squirm" with his nonverbals when asked about the rook fatboy in yesterday's presser- it says volumes.

Yeah, we can say the LBs played like crap - but it still starts up front - especially at Nose - before they can do their job. When your nose gets turned sideways, he gets rooted out every time. Listen to MM talk about "playing square" up there.

I wanted immediate help THIS year from the draft for our defensive trenches and didn't get it - but still believe TT may bring in a released vet after the final cuts from another team. Look at the teams who did spend 1st and 2nd rounders on their DTs, and watch who they release as a result getting down to THEIR final 53.

The guy some of us (including yours truly, but not as ridiculously as Jammer, aka Stiffy) were high on was Luis Nix III who just kept falling in the draft and eventually ended up with the Texans where he's now on their PUP list! We could've bolstered the position some more by taking extra DTs in the later rounds like 6 and 7 when we took a RB and a very wispy WR, but then again, thats all in 20-20 hindsight... The best that we can hope for is that the O starts off strong and that the D gels ASAP. The first 2 games could be very rough and we could be in a 0-2 hole before we barely blink outta gates :(

It worked when Mathews was healthy, but didn't when he was hurt.
