    Getting tight now, what a game we have on our hands here Folks.

    Buckling up the chin strap for a titanic struggle in this 2nd half.

    I think Kimmy can get us through this one. :tup:

    Seems like Branden "Sproles" Oliver fizzled out somewhere between the 2nd and the 3rd preseason game. If he fails to make the roster, sadly for our PS someone will claim him off the waivers!

    He is pretty well holding his own Jack - has two tackles and 1 assist. The eye-grabbers on D have been Alecxih, Aiyewa, Kaiser when he finally got in, but Ducre is having a pretty good "statement" game in this one. Definitely worth keeping around, even if its just on the PS - he makes me think a lot of Stuckey at this stage...

    Edited: And I forgot the 'playuh of da game' which would be Law...

    Gave my tickets to one of the teachers at my son's school. She's a big Charger fan and will probably stay to the end.

    But, we ALWAYS seem to get stuck with the 4th preseason game at home. Just once I'd like to get the 2nd & 3rd.

    Yes, I noticed we got the least desirable games again.

    Really ?..............................would it matter who you were playing in preseason ?

    To me it starts at "least desirable" and works it's way down to less exciting than a Fanfest scrimmage, which is as undesirable as it can possibly get. :D

    Not who....... where. The two home games were the 1st and last preseason games. The ones where the starters play the least, therefore the least desirable games to have.

    That was a rough outing for Reese, he finds use of his hands and he could be something but with that bad case of the drops... not looking good for him to even make PS :(

    Not for the players, for the franchise.

    If your aim is to sell tickets (at a ridiculous full price), then you want the two preseason games where the starters actually play. The Chargers got to host the two games that are the most irrelevant from a spectator's perspective...... is that clear enough now?

    He's the very definition of a "raw" talent..... Reese has way to much to learn to be anything more than a project for the practice squad.

    Perhaps the hope and expectation was that he could catch the ball which would have given us another threat in the KR/PR and deep route schemes, combined with his high gear speed.

    Alas, although he seemed very gifted gifted by the "Almighty" with some sweet feet, he hit all the branches of "hands of stone" tree on his way down ;)

    I went back in the wee hours looking at front 7. Both Law and Tourek Williams out-played Thomas Keiser in this one game, Keiser got a slight edge as a pure edge rusher, but Tourek set the edge against the run - I think Tenny Palepoi played very well and may have made the team unless TT finds someone better on the waiver wire. Joe Kruger is a guy I'd like to see more of, but may not get that opportunity.

    So, Acee was wrong as usual....... ;)

    The Chargers will carry two quarterbacks on their 2014 roster.

    Brad Sorensen, a 2013 seventh-round draft choice, was waived Friday as the team began cutting down from 75 to 53 players. Sources also said wide receiver Tevin Reese, a rookie seventh-round pick, was among the others waived. The team must trim to 53 by Saturday at 1 p.m. PT

    Defensive ends Doug Worthington and Joe Kruger and cornerback Crezdon Butler were cut, sources said. That defensive end Tenny Palepoi survived the early wave of cuts bodes well for the undrafted rookie. He can play both end spots as well as nose tackle.

    Tackle Michael Harris was told he'll be retained, one source said. He and Willie Smith were competing for the swing tackle job.

    The Chargers don't plan to announce their roster moves officially until Saturday.

    Makes me think that TT is eyeing up someone else's waived DT / DE betweener and he'll be poaching...

    Both Worthington and Kruger played well last evening - two names to keep on speed dial TT.. there are some other names slowly coming in, primarily via twitter. OBTW, the guy that leaked Harris' status, was Harris. (DOH)

    ~~~
    Edited - On Sorensen, last year, installing a different system, they probably used that spare arm early on in "extra - voluntary" practices with the receivers (no coach present), quite simply this year it isn't necessary and we have greater needs elsewhere than QB.
