Damn, that NostraFrostus guy has been on the ball of late, hasn't he !!!! [IMG]

Mind you, those 2 were rather easy picks.

Find the Harris talk interesting though, from all accounts he's digressed notably, so not sure what would get him a guernsey for the season..........................though it would be a huge plus if he could lift his game, God we need some fat-arses to fire.

I hope Larry the Lemon invested well ................... I don't see any football contracts in his future.

Maybe selling Used cars or setting up a Lemon stand on the front lawn are options ????

4 weeks of games before I make any predictions X .................. never trust this mob sight unseen and end up looking like a total Dick. ;)

To many variables yet (especially on D)...................... staying relatively healthy is the most important factor, if we can keep Rivers upright, Offence should be fine
Key with this team always comes down to the D

If we can somehow manufacture some type of pressure from our Front 3 (wont hold my breath) and hope Freeney, Ingram and Co can bring the heat on the outside, then anything's possible.

Looking forward to see what happens in our D backfield this year, hopefully they can get us a few more TO's this year, something that's been lacking for awhile now.

I like Inman better at Allen's backup on the right side better than what I can remember of brown since his broken ankle.

Chargers waived DE Chas Alecxih, per source. Expected to join practice squad if he clears waivers.

Former Utah DE Tenny Palepoi is expected to make Chargers' 53-man roster. Team still monitoring waivers. Depth on DL could prove fluid.

Chargers waived WR Torrence Allen, undrafted rookie from West Texas A&M. Expect to see him on practice squad, not Tevin Reese.

All pretty predictable so far... Someone will say wait - Alecxih just got a sack - he is the one that got the clean-up gift from our 2nd round pick.

Chargers waived OT Jeremiah Sirles, per source. Undrafted rookie from Nebraska. Will make practice squad if he clears waivers.

This is the kid I was trying to figure out who the hell it was in the 2nd half playing at ORT when Harris had to shift over to OLT to cover Smith - had a pretty impressive showing in my opinion for coming off the bench - certainly merits a longer look on the PS, (again my opinion only).

So, the most accurate thing our beat reporter said today is that the roster will remain "fluid" after the final cuts are over.

Probably a good thing to wait a day or two before printing a hard copy of the final 53 - #Imjustsaying

Chargers set 53-man roster, keep five RBs
Branden Oliver and Marion Grice both part of initial team

The Chargers' 53-man roster is complete.

It is, of course, anything but final.

The team's roster includes five running backs, as undrafted rookie Branden Oliver and sixth-round pick Marion Grice were both retained. San Diego plans to monitor waiver cuts elsewhere in the league, particularly on the defensive line for possible moves to upgrade its depth.

Oliver was one of three undrafted rookies to make the initial 53.

Defensive end Tenny Palepoi and cornerback Chris Davis are the others.

Wide receiver Vincent Brown (calf) was waived-injured. The other 22 released were without the injury designation.

On defense, linebacker Victor Aiyewa, defensive tackle Chas Alecxih, cornerback Crezdon Butler, safety Alden Darby, cornerback Greg Ducre, linebacker Thomas Keiser, defensive end Joe Kruger, outside linebacker Cordarro Law, safety Adrian Phillips, linebacker Colton Underwood, and defensive end Doug Worthington were cut.

On offense, wide receiver Torrence Allen, tight end Michael Flacco, tackle Michael Harris, wide receiver Javontee Herndon, wide receiver Tevin Reese, tackle Jeremiah Sirles, quarterback Brad Sorensen, guard Craig Watts, tackle Kenny Wiggins, and center Khalil Wilkes were waived.

    Harris is a notable cut.

He was notified Friday — or at least, under the impression he'd been notified — that he won the Chargers' swing tackle job, sources said. There was an apparent miscommunication or change of heart. Smith, not Harris, stands as the reserve to starting tackles King Dunlap and D.J. Fluker.

Very surprised at initially retaining all 5 RBs. TT must believe in MartyBall after all :D

I think that they see potential in both Oliver and Grice and didn't want them to get poached off of the waivers right away! Hopefully we will retain the majority of the ones whom we really wished to keep for the PS.

Michael Sam was waived by the Rams but if he clears waivers, he is expected to be asked back for their PS.

Champ Bailey was also cut by NOLA. Time for CB to retire. This is a [very] young man's game, specially at that CB position ;)

Will be an interesting test to start the season, especially for our secondary.

Can't believe it's football season already. Looking forward to seeing what this team can do!

Well, I'm going to be holding my breath until I hear Lissemore has resumed full practice. Going to be difficult for our two young'uns, Caretthers and Palepoi to hold down the middle against the rush - but after being reminded, (elsewhere), that a vested veteran is guaranteed full salary if he plays in game 1, I doubt we are going to see a big old veteran fatboy hired by the team until after game one. That won't keep TT from getting a non-vested player cut by another team, but that might be called dumpster diving at this point.... Pretty sure we will see what we have go against the Cardinals at their house. One thing for certain, if I am right, MM and Pags will know a lot more about our young fatboyz, and where they are *really* at before that one is over with.

My thoughts exactly..... a bunch of vets will be signed after that 1st game. Nobody wants to guarantee the money for an old guy.

There's still hope for Jack....... :D :p  :roflmao:

New Practice Squad Rules: If an NFL team wants to keep a man who is considered to be an international player, they can do so without it counting against the 10-man roster. The player must have citizenship and a principal place of residence outside of the United States to qualify.
