San Francisco is pissed that Norv was hired away and Alex Smith might have to learn his 3rd new offense. Good thing he was a genius coming out of college. And leisure SF has crap for talent yet they were vastly improved last season over the season before.

That is not exactly what he said.

He said that when it came to a situation such as 3rd and 3 he would make the call.

He did not infer that he would be calling all of the offensive plays.

Shelmon has to be around to show Norv all of the changes that Cam made to the offense.

    Here's one for ya MTL...

I know we've heard over and over again (especially in the press conference) about how the system and lingo are the "same." But considering how poorly utilized Steven Davis was in Wash (I think he had one really good year while Norv was coaching), and how productive he was his first year OUT of Norv's system, do you have any concerns for LTs productivity?

No because Cam Cameron was Norv's *****. If anything there is a greater probability that Norv will bench Goff and that will enhance LT's productivity.

Wasn't Norm pretty explicit during the press conference that this wasn't going to happen? Somebody asked if they were going to keep the coach staff together or if they could anticipate any other departures and Norv's tone when he responded sounded to me like "we're not letting anyone go anywhere."

Here are some comments by Lo Neal on the Norv hiring.

In an interview with Lo-Neal, he basically said:

That he is very happy with the choice. Then he basically said he's not worried about Norv being under .500 as a head coach because the raiders are horrible, and no coach can do well when nobody on the team is dedicated to winning.

He said he's excited because Norv is an offensive Genious, and has inherited a Gold-mine. "The Chargers are not rebuilding, we're reloading"

Said he's glad someone who has experience with The Chargers is here, and LT's rookie year with Norv was an excellent year, and also said Rivers will benefit tremendously from him.
