Remember Michael Silver and the article he wrote halfway through the season about locker room strife that had us all up in arms?

He just wrote a GREAT article about Turner, the Chargers, and what they just accomplished. Turns out that Turner DOES really know how to motivate the boys. Link.

Dude, you should try and read the article. We spend so much time complaining about pundits and writers who were hating on us before the Indy game and after we proved them wrong they just hated us more, we should actually notice and commend the guys who say they were wrong and write something good about us.

Jimmy Johnson said something on Fox about Norv having to make the players believe they could go into Foxboro and win, in order for us to have a chance. Is there any doubt now?

    Excellent read from silver.

For a change no hate what so ever.

Who would have thought it? :icon_shrug:

This is my favorite quote: "The coach, however, stuck to his message: Last year, you were the best team in October and November, he told his players, and look where it got you. The challenge this year is to be the best team in December and January."

    Thank you for posting it.

Basically, that is as close to Silver eating his words as we will ever see.

If we lose, he will be right back on the hate-wagon.

    Great article, though.

A little palate cleanser before some more hate

Seriously everyone has been eating alot of crow about Norv Turner, and he's surprised everyone except maybe himself. At the very least alot of people are going to be looking less at Norv and more at the owners and the GMs as to why Norv sucked with them

Well, it's pretty much the owners.

In preseason, right around the time of the second preseason game versus the Rams, there was an article about Norv's time in Washington, because of the link to Gus Ferrote who is on the Rams now as Bulger's backup. It stated that in his stint with the Redskins, Snyder pretty much told Norv which QB was going to be the starter, instead of letting Norv decide.

Then in Oakland, everyone knows Al Davis pretty much calls the shots and intrudes whenever he feels like it. Like telling the Raider HC at the time not to play Marcus Allen for a half-season because of a conflict that Marcus had with Big Al. Or Al's quick firing of Shanahan because ratface stood up to him.

After all, it's not like either franchise has been wildly successful with Norv's successors. Yes, the Redskins have made the playoffs twice under Gibbs II, but if you look at it, no HC succeeding Norv has had a winning record with either franchise. Gibbs is 30-34 in his second go round with the 'Skins.

    Norv's got his vindication.

Now it's his legacy he's thinking about - a Superbowl legacy in Blue and Gold. :bolt:
