    What do you think?
He's done nothing, as expected behind LT.

We will most likely get a 3rd Round compensatory pick from the NFL so we will get something.

    That's ALL Norv!!!!
I was glad to see him back this season but if all he's going to do is sit on the bench, our mind as well have traded him.

I voted No, he's an insurance policy, but with all insurance policies it's better when you don't need them, how would you feel if LT went down and Turner was not there?

BTW, didn't it feel better seeing LT's legs get twisted at the end of his long run rather than him just stepping out of bounds?

Turner has been totally underutilized. He is a better option than L.T. for softening up the defense, that dude can carry a pile for 3-4 yards. Maybe he will get more touches in the late season. Still glad he's here and not leading the league in rushing somewhere else.

Oh don't you worry about nuthin'...

Uncle Norvy's got somethin' up his sleeve. He's keeping him fresh... just in case the Bolts happen to squeak by and get into the big dance!! :icon_rofl:

Really though, I'm beginning to think Norv is mentally retarded.

Well, actually you've been calling for him to be fired. I believe you've probably used terms like "Stupid", "Dumb", etc...

... but I'm talking about Profound Mental Retardation. How else could we explain the impressive inability to keep such a brilliant (and expensive) talent glued to the bench?

But, having said this... it would be wrong to fire him at this point. This legal idiot has his team above .500 at the 11-game mark and there would surely be repercussions from many groups and gov't agencies. Certainly he ACLU would get involved. The Civil Rights Center at the US Dept. of Labor would have something to say, too... most likely citing the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Fines would be stiff. Public backlash would be tremendous.

So having surveyed the landscape I think it's safe to say: "GET ON THE SHORTBUS AND ENJOY THE RIDE!!!"

Sorry, that was bad. Hope I didn't offend anyone.

I feel better knowing that MT is here, but I wish we'd wear him out some before he leaves at the end of the year!!

Really...? IF that happened it would REALLY change the dynamic of this team. We would be more of a passing team, imo.

Do you really think LT would pull a Barry Sanders though? :icon_huh:

I distinctly remember lots of talk about LT and MT being deployed at the same time. Based on that premise, keeping him was a no brainer, especially with all running backs being a step away from becoming a Priest Holmes or Adrian Peterson. If any of us had realized that Turner was going to be put up on blocks like someone's latest antique auto restoration project, we would have all said, "trade 'im!". My reaction to Norval so far is like going to the festival stage to see Charley's Aunt and finding a last minute switch to The Mad Woman of Shaillot.

I figure it's better to have Michael Turner and not need him than to need him and not have him.

Kind of like a jock cup. Cause you never know when you're gonna get kicked in the balls.

Well, unless the person actually is mentally retarded, wouldn't it be an insult to call him that?

I mean if you're born with a mental handicap, there's not much you can do but if you're born in good mental health and you say somebody acts that way... what would you call it? A compliment?

Whatever about whether not getting anything for him was a bad idea... his stock/worth is sure not being helped by the fact that Norv seems to not realise he is on our team. WTF was he doing inserting Sproles at the end of the Baltimore game. When it is time to 'run' out the clock then it is 'Burner Time' not Sproles for chrisssakes. Jeez.

For the record I reckon we should have traded him when we could. We had enough decent RBs in the event LT goes down.

I think we missed out on getting anything for MT. We could use the franchise or transition tag on him, but that's a lot of money for someone rarely used in Norv's offense. I would like to see MT transition a little into a hybrid role. He's got some power, so have him play a few downs at fullback, catch a few passes out of the backfield, spell LT every couple of series. I think it would be interesting to see LT & MT line up in the same backfield, a little thunder & lightning.

Let just pray the donkey's don't try to sign him in the off season.

Hank Bauer speculated that Turner was injured in the post game show. He said that MT had his socks rolled down and his shirt out.

    Who knows?

I do know that I hate seeing Sproles in the game.
