It just occurred to me that this years's first round draft pick is slightly smaller than last years's :D

I'd absolutely love that, Attaochu's my guy, he's crazy quick off the line, violent, and has that passion/leadership quality that TT is so enamored with. I really think that he's the only guy (maybe Bitonio) we'd more up for. If Bitonio or Su'a Filo fall a decent amount, i think we would debate moving up for them too.

attaochu could very well end up a bust because he has a long way to go become a complete football player, but he's the only guy here with elite athleticism, he's very young only 21....... but SD would be a perfect situation because we're not asking him to step in right away. the problem is a number of people think demarcus lawrence will go before him but i think he will go before lawrence....... he is a superior athlete, plays with more urgency and went up against vastly superior competition. lawrence did a lot of his damage against horrible teams.

so because of that, i think SD would have to trade up to get him. 6'3 252 4.57 40yddash with a 37.5 inch vert..... he is a bit stiff in the hips and i dont think he has the potential to max out as an elite edge rusher but he could become a good to very good one. i mean when i look at attaochu i dont see a future pro bowl player but in the right situation with the right coaching, he could be a quality contributor. i see him as a bigger and more athletic antwan barnes type.

I hoping a run on QB starts early today and hopefully the RB's start to go early as well. That should really help push down OLB, DT, WR to us. I don't think any of the OL will be as tempting by the time we pick.

Yeah. I'd be very surprised of he fell past ATL , unless there is something we don't know about.

not at all and that is the trap that people are falling into regarding this kid, he is not even close to justin houston in any regard

houston has bigger hands, longer arms and is a superior athlete with more hip flex than attaochu. attaochu is stiff and mechanical in his movements, houston is a far more fluid player with better agility.

@49ers: #49ers acquire WR @StevieJohnson13 via trade with the Buffalo Bills.

Maybe this takes them out of the WR market?

Not sure how much I like Nix. Big guy who CAN attract the double team, but he has limited moves to shed blocks (though that's coachable) and more importantly, his legs seem to give out on him fairly quickly. We've been searching for the next Jamal Williams for a while: Cam Thomas wasn't it, and I don't think Nix is either

What if they went best player available ? They may have a short list of sure players. When their gone they might just go for value.

Another draftee that fell significantly is Marqise Lee. Several teams scared of his knee. Source I spoke with said "half the league is out."

Apparently Lee's fall had something to do with a knee issue.

Attaochu reminds me of what everyone was trying to bill Whitney Mercilus as - so maybe the best comp is a
"rich man's Mercilus". But he's much closer to Whitney as a prospect than he is to Houston.

That plus, I would assume, his great tendency for body-catching.

    LOL
Decent I think. I don't think we'd give up both the 2nd and 3rd, but if he falls within striking distance of packaging our 2nd and 4th together to move up, he's one of the guys I could see us doing it for.

Josh Gordon tested hot on another marijuana test. SMH

And people lament us putting a premium on character?

One step forward, one step backwards. I hope the Browns have scouted WRs thoroughly

Now I bet the wish THEY had picked Watkins, instead of trading down.

This may turn out to haunt them. Watkins was a great choice. They should have just picked him.

But for a first and fourth? That's hard to pass up

ESPN is reporting the Browns were aware of this two weeks before the draft started

Honestly, if their plan was to pick Johnny all along (just a matter of where), they should have drafted Evans wherever they could. Normally I think it gets a bit overblown on "give the young QB one of his receivers from college" but Evans was literally Manziel's security blanket at A&M and made a lot of Johnny's throws look a lot better than they were. The chemistry is there. The feel for each other is there. There's a part of me that feels like if Johnny's ever going to grow as a QB he needs to be forced to work with WR's he's not comfortable with, but TBH with Cleveland's track record they should just focus on having a drafted QB that doesn't bust for the first time in two decades - should settle for good-to-maybe-better than worry about going straight from suck to great.

@JasonLaCanfora: Hearing Nix could go HOU at 33, Lee at 35, Carr at 36 (Dallas could trade up for pass rush here. Amaro or pass rusher at 37. Su'a-Filo 38

But if they lose Gordon that's it for WR. They could never have known though. But Evans would have been a good choice also. If Johnny football was the target all along. As The LBC said
