Mark, is the possibility of working out some deal to build a new state of the art stadium where the Q is gone?

Is it true that the NFL offered to host the Superbowl in San Diego on a reoccurring schedule? How much money would that bring into the city?

Do you know who I am!? I am the Concudan Beeotch!

    THAT IS AWESOME!!!

My question is. How did the Chargers feel about the development plan that was proposed by private developer Perry Dealy?

Are the Chargers considering charging seat fees or licenses to season ticket holders of any amount?

Are the Chargers thinking about selling space on their practice jerseys?

How does he view the current situation in Rookies salary demands, or is he in favor of a Salary slotting process like the NBA has?

Not really a question, but I would like likelihood of the new proposition for Del Mar put out. It seems as if it's a great deal for everybody. I know it's probably just being tossed around, but he's probably got some insight that no one else has.

There are a lot of folks out there who have been mislead - Many who are stuck on the idea that a new Chargers stadium would be another Petco, costing the taxpayers greatly - can you help clear up all the mis-information and tell us what the chargers plans for funding a new stadium actually entail?

In recent weeks there has been increasing talk of a stadium location in downtown San Diego. Is there a specific site in mind? How hopeful should Charger fans be that this option can become a reality?

How has the relationship with the Chargers and the city changed since Aguirre left office and Jan Goldsmith moved in? It seems to have moved forward in a positive way, but is the damage already done? Is it too little, too late?

Oceanside - the big issue here seems to be the airport but I believe there were also to be preliminary talks (re: whether the idea was fiscally possible for both sides) between Dean Spanos and the Developer shortly after the 4th of July holiday. Has that meeting taken place? If so, were they positive? In relation to other sites that have been explored, are Oceanside's chances any better the 2nd time around?

For those of us who want to support keeping the Bolts in San Diego and getting a new stadium built, what are the best ways to make an impact? Even if we're not residents of say Oceanside, Chula Vista, Del Mar, San Diego proper (or any of the other specific cities with potential stadium sites) - are there things we can do to make a difference?

As far as the Spanos family is concerned after 7 years and several million dollars spent - how much more effort are they willing to put into looking for a stadium solution here in San Diego? What kind of progress are they looking for to keep them looking here vs. outside the county?

Knowing that past discussions have looked to the various localities to offer land at a discount, do you feel that the Del Mar site has any possibility at all?

Has any contact been made with the FAA regarding the Oceanside ex-drive-in site? If so, can you elaborate?

Are there any ongoing talks being held with Ed Roski regarding a move to LA (City of Industry)?

Just how do you see the area lining up for or against a new stadium? Are we fans the only ones positive about it, or is there ample support among other affected groups as well (merchants, businesspersons, non-fans, etc.)?

Just how much has the current economic climate affected the negotiations for a new stadium?

Has anyone in Sacramento weighed in at all on any of the proposals?

And yes - Syd is a smart cookie!!

Trumpy Question (modified a bit - mostly b/c I'm pretty sure we won't using the word biiiiotch during this interview )

Are you familiar with the Joint Powers Authority Agreements from the 1960's which was critial in launching the building of the Murph? If so is there a blueprint or roadmap to do something similar to get the new stadium completed?

If you are going to quote me then SACK THE F UP and quote me 100%.

If you want to take it further, ask him why he is not championing the blueprint laid down 40 years ago to facilitate getting a stadium built. Why re-invent the wheel when the roadmap has already been played out once before ?

Ask him if he feels guilty in collecting a paycheck and not being any closer to helping his boss attain his goal of getting a deal done.

Ask Fabiani if he would be willing to get paid contingent on him getting a deal done versus taking the old man's money. Ask Fabiani if a fire would be lit under his *** if his pay were contingent or would Fabiani pursue the same old course of action?

Sack up and ask the questions as though you have no fear. If he is offended - too effing bad. :bolt:

I'll ask questions any way I please and you can do the same - good to see you finally put your own questions in here. Like I said in the other thread - if you want to act like a jerk and interrogate him vs. interview and ask intelligent (even critical non-fluff questions) go right ahead and let us know how it works out for ya.

To stop this argument between syd and trumpy let me run down a few things:

    1. Ray and I have the right to pick the questions we will ask Mr Fabiani. If the question is a diatribe or an attack we will likely not pick it. This is more for information then for political points. We also won't take questions that are all swearing or if there's a good question in the midst of the swearing we will edit it accordingly.
    2. We are very likely NOT going to take phone calls during his segment. That's less a censorship issue as much as to make life easier on a tech basis. We will ask him any questions in this thread that follow pt 1 and questions we see in the chatroom.
    3. I personally have neve heard of what trumpy is mentioning. I'm going to look it up And in all likeliness I'll ask fabiani that question. I will not
include swear words in that for obvious reasons. Sorry if that makes you mad but that's a matter of professionalism.

Oh and #4 before I forget
we won't ask fluff or softball questions. The point is to providE information on th stadium to some of the best charger fans out there. That's as much profEssionalism as the no swearing rule. You have questions that are good and are about the stadium then bring it. That's all there is to it

Here is my questions and hope they get asked.

1.) Have the Chargers considered the East County in their search Like In Spring Valley, La Mesa, El Cajon, Santee Lakeside or even extreme East County like Alpine and Ramona for a Stadium?

2.) How about a Co-Venture with some of the Indian Tribes in San Diego about land to build a Stadium that can be linked with the Casino or Casinos?

I thank you for your time.

Get up to speed quickly and Google it. Joint Powers Authority is a provision (LAW) in the California State Constitution (section 6500 of the state gov't code).

Anything short of a collaborative county-wide effort is a waste of time. Why go through all the motions of feasibilities studies when "it will not pencil out". It seems to me the Chargers are marking time and watching the buyout clause diminish to a more affordable number.

If I am going to be quoted by anyone and it is altered, do the profesisonal coutesy of letting the recipient know it was altered otherwise, put it in your OWN WORDS.

let's please keep this as a thread for QUESTIONS ONLY, so Ray and I can find them and ask them efficiently and don't have to search through pithy comments

And yes Trumpy I will make sure you get quoted in the question, and i'm letting you know it'll be asked and it'll be adjusted.

I believe oceanside make the most sense, with the obama money going to the freeway expansion, adding to locating close enough to OC and still will keep the true fan base of San Diego. if your a true charger fan its not that far of a drive as I make the hour and a half down south. I don't want to hear about it's to far because if I can do it now, I don't want to hear the crying about it's too far

sorry I was on a roll with the last post. Here is my question
Is Oceanside the top place the bolt are looking at? if so can the airport be moved or flight times changed during games? Also is there any time frame the chargers are looking at to get out as the buyout gets less every yeay?:abq1:
