We have a slow start to the season. Gates and VJ were ignored for most of the game. We didn't throw much to LT. We didn't use Tolbert enough on short yardage. We have the same problem right now that we had last season, with a lack focus on game time prep and season prep in camp. I don't doubt that we will build toward the end of the season, but this team needs to build an attitude of winning from game one. No player, including Merriman or anyone else, has the right to compromise the team with ego driven obstinance. You refuse consensus medical treatment, you go on IR immediately. You enter training camp with an injury that has been recommended for surgery by medical consensus you go on the pup. The team is the priority. You want to go on some egotistical, testosterone driven, monomaniacal campaign, do it from your living room.

RC, Merriman was great today...he was totally back there giving trouble to the Cat's offense.

You're doing your egotistical, testosterone driven, monomaniacal campaign from your living room right now.

wow. just getting home - had some time to relax and let the loss go but damn.. it hurt.

#1 - Phillip looked AWESOME. He was mobile, and ducking out of tackles which would have been sacks a year ago. He was calm under pressure and made smart throws, even when there was seemingly nothing there.

#2 - Carolina played a great game. I had a feeling we wouldn't blow them out and they'd give us a run for our money... just didn't think it would be a W for them. Props to all of them for a job well done.

#3 - WTF was with the wide open recievers and massive gaping holes for Carolina's run game? I can't wait to watch the game again on DVR so I can take a better look but damn... Now, I know the defense had to be tired, since they spent so much time on the field. But come on!

All in all, not the outcome we wanted but we can't change it now. Time to regroup and make it a lesson.

p.s. The 12th man was in force today - now if the defense would only get as hungry as the fans [outside the redzone] we will be a-ok.

Wow!!! The 'Skins, the Jags, the Bucs, Chargers, & Colts all made the playoffs last year and start this year at 0-1...I feel much better now.

No prob, Bro. I'm told that's the essence of a forum, to discuss and agree/disagree; I happen to disagree.
