I didn't think the Chargers had a prayer especially after losing to Cincinnati, and with Miami being one of our losses

I told everyone to crank up the mock drafts.

They proved me wrong, but I'm damn happy! :abq1:

I thought they would miss the playoffs by a game, especially with all those early conference losses.

Thank goodness I was mistaken, I've never been so happy to be proven wrong! :)

I had the Alworth jersey on for the day today, and took it off when Succop lined up at the end of regulation thinking it was over.

    Pass the Tabasco please...

I must partake of the crow, because during this game I lost hope. I stopped believing for the first time this season... And then for doing that I was rewarded with a missed field goal. >_> The football gods are cruel tricksters.

I will definitely eat crow. After losing DX, then Floyd, then Ingram, then Freeney. I thought for sure we had no shot. Losing your top two WR's, and top 2 pass rushers is hard to overcome. Not to mention having injuries on the oline.

This entire season I've been filled with hope. I've never had that disgusted feeling where I felt it was hopeless (like every year with Norv, right before they would inevitably go on a team at the end of the year). So much optimism going forward on my part.

Feelings like gosh.... if only the NFL would allow five trys to score from the one yard line... then Whiz and ABN would have really found the right play call against the useless Redskins. I too am optimistic that our team is good enough to beat a division rival's backups without the help of their FG kicker... (and some Zebras who can't count).

Of course there is great reason to rejoice upon that we were lucky beyond all belief. We do have an absolutely wonderful coaching staff. :roflmao:

I booked my plane ticket a month ago to head home on the 29th, sure that the Chargers would be out of it. Thank god for a long layover and a chance to see that ending.

I gave up on the game/season when Succop came out to try that field goal with 4 seconds left.

    And then, well, you know...

Prior to the season starting I had low expectations for the 2013 Chargers...them making the playoffs is something I would have never guessed and am glad to be wrong about what I thought might be their season. Getting to the playoffs is the first step to winning a Super Bowl and now that the Chargers are in, who knows what will happen next? A true wild card winning it all is not so far fetched. I'm buckling up and hoping the playoff ride last a while...

The Bengals are streaky, I think the Chargers have a chance. A win there, and is anyone really counting the Chargers out against the Broncos in Denver against Peyton Manning? After that...who knows...

    Go Chargers!

I didn't expect them to make the playoffs this season, I hoped, but definitely didn't think we'd be where we are quite so soon. It's a very pleasant surprise to be sure. (i.e. I pretty much lost my mind with joy)

Yesterday, I can proudly say I didn't give up. I prayed like hell to anyone/thing that would listen when they started lining up for that kick though that's for sure :roflmao: I believe the words I kept chanting went something like "please, please, please, it can't end like this, please, please, please, block it, something, c'mon!" yada yada yada....

Now I shall remain cautiously optimistic, as always, albeit with a wee bit more swagger this week :)

We are clearly capable of winning on Sunday - we're also clearly capable of losing - that's why you play the games every week - any given Sunday and all that. Here's to our boys earning the opportunity to make another trip into Donkey Country

    I confess...

I thought this was a 6-10/7-9 team at best. I did not expect Rivers or Matthews to play as well as they did, did not expect the "o-line of the week" to hold up as well as it did, and did not expect the defense to stop anyone (although they sure took their time....). Happy to be proved wrong, happy the Bolts are in the playoffs (stuff it Pittsburgh), and optimistic about Sunday.

    I feel better now...

Dude, everyone around me in my section started picking up their stuff, ready to head out. Hell, I was thinking about the long line wait for the trolley.

    AND...
The KC fans seated a few rows in front of me LEFT. Didn't even bother to wait for the kick attempt. Though...we were giving them **** for some of the game. At one point, one of them (a dude in a pink shirt) jumped up on their seat after a KC TD. One guy yelled "gee... that's a nice PINK shirt you're wearin'". Of course I had to chime in with "Yeah, he borrowed it from his mom".
