Please post 'em here so we can start helping AJ figure out who's available. We need to stockpile the big nasty beef and hard hittin' nasty Muther******s next year.

    OL
Jordan Gross tops my list right now.
    Jon Runyan anyone? :icon_shrug:

    Defense:
    Terrell Suggs anyone? :icon_shrug:

OK, now all you FA freaks get to chime in

Last I checked he was listed as a FA for 09. I think he was franchised for this season.

That would be the man to go after with the BIG BUCKS.

    OL: Vernon Carey
Versatile, can play RT or RG (even played LT for a while), but locked in at RT over last few years with Miami and was consistently their best OL. Big powerful and mean. Won't go for as much as a Jordan Gross but very talented.

I think Karlos Dansby might be a good pick up.

Gross and Peppers would be great additions. I doubt Carolina will let them both go. In fact, I just read an article saying they think they can keep both of them.

Poway... B4L hates it when people start threads that don't pertain to the only thing on his mind.

Please, players suggestions only for this thread. There will be at least a thread a day pertaining to coaching suggestions. Or you can start one on it if you like and make "official". But you know B4L will hijack it with his Billick drivel.

    --------------------------------------------------------
    Back on topic: Nnamdi Asomugha

Is he really gonna re-sign with the Raiders if they finish in a weak?

I could see him going back if they rally off some wins down the stretch. But I would love to bring him in for a visit.

Trade or cut Cro and insert Nnamdi. Put cason where jammer is. Jammer to safety.

Yes... Jammer to safety. He's starting to get hurt more now. Rod Woodson extended his career this way.

Mark Tauscher can play and would come at a decent price. Jordan Gross or Peppers would break the bank and we have other priority signings to do. Stacy Andrews could be worth a flyer or Khalif Barnes, they would come at affordable rates and can play as well. Haynesworth would be a killer addition, but the bidding will be fairly intense and the Chargers haven't spent those kind of bucks very often on FA's.

Peppers is on the back end of his carrer, Dawkins carrer is over, and so is Sharpers.

Birk would be a bad move because I dont think we need a center when we just locked up Hardwick.

Gross is ok, I can follow that.

Eugene Amano-Can play center or guard, and is a big physicial mauler who has dominated on the Titans offensive line.

James Farrior-Veteran ILB who will bring fire, leadership, and knowledge at a position that is sorely lacking it.

Karlos Dansby-Good young talent at ILB. He would be an immediate upgrade over anyone we have at the position.

Jordan Gross-Excellent tackle who can play on both sides of the line. He is solid in the run and pass game, and would be an immediate upgrade over clary.

Adrian Wilson-Upgrade over any of our current safeties. The guy can play in the box, or out of the box, though he isn't as quick in man coverage. The guy is a tremendously versatile player, who can blitz, stop the run, and cover the tight end.

On OL, Gross isn't gonna come cheap. I like Tauscher from GB or Colombo from Dallas.

DL - For me it's Suggs or Haynesworth. Haynesworth could hold up at NT & Suggs can put his hand down.

LB - Bart Scott is the cream here. Dansby is a solid if not flashy guy. I like Farrior's drive & spirit.

DB - Dawan Landry has been good for B'more - he's young, so they probably get him re-signed. The Turds ain't letting Asomugha go. I like the idea of Jammer to safety - always have - but we don't have the corner talent to replace him.

We need to bundle up some guys & get back a second rounder. It would take a lot to do, but would sure help out for drafting some quality beef this year. We aren't going to find the quality that we need for the trenches in the late rounds. That time is gone. It's gotta be done via FA or high draft picks.

Not to be a buzz kill but how-about no one?!? AJ has others on the team to worry about signing and none of those guys will come cheap. Plus his track record shows he doesn't sign high priced FA. The only way he does it is if tries to follow through on his promise to LT and feels like he owes LT to get the "best available".

    But don't count on it.

Well, that's fine but he better know that the current format of

the man the myth the legend Clerence Shelmon/Norv as OC isn't working.

If he figures out a way to fix it without hiring anybody new then I'm on board

Plenty of teams are realizing how well a one-two punch of a speed back & big back works. I could get behind bringing in a guy like Jacobs. Didn't realize that he's a FA. Where are you getting your FA info, nick?

I wonder if Hester/Tolbert could meet that need. They obviously aren't fullbacks
