First, you need to stop the personal attacks. Why are you calling people a-hole's? Really???

And second, if you want to have a legit discussion about our new HC, that is fine, but keep it civil.

Curious really, but can you expand on this "monumental inexcusable errors"?

As long as it's because you are only curious, I'll answer. Just kidding! I'm super amiable and answer all questions- even when there is no recognition of an answer other than an endless list of filibustering follow up questions!

As bad as the decision to not run Mathews or put a power I in (or even run Woodhead again) seemed to me to be, I don't consider these seemingly inexcusable decisions of that variety because of unknowns that may make it more subjective.

The calls I have seen from ABN so far this year that fit that description are the eligibility list and the explanation of the decision-if not the decision itself- of playing for the punt against the Titans. These are not in the same realm of all other decisions that seem pretty f'n bad (like benching Mathews and playing for that punt)
The other calls I have seen as a Chargers fan that enter that inexcusable ( I say "monumental" to make the point that inexcusable is literal...I would choose "literal" instead but I know my audience and that choice could make understanding worse)?

1)Marty running onto the field in anger and drawing a 15 yard penalty (amazing people think Nate missing was worse)
2)Marty allowing Cam Cameron to bench his best deep receiver (with SB experience) over a personal grudge
3)Marty going for it on 4th and 11, in a tie ball game, in the first quarter, in field goal range. Normally this falls into the "yeah it's the worst decision I've seen" but it's still subjective and I can't for certain say that 100 percent it was an inexcusable mistake but.....100 percent it was an inexcusable mistake.

The anti-Norv lobby only deserves little effort in terms of civilized dialogue. Much less than I invested in the FREE OZ question. Your interventions regarding my "needs" would have been more welcome in that context.

Alright... Boardwalk Empire starting here on the West Coast. I gotta go catch up to see if Nucky Thompson & his gang will knock off a few characters tonight. I have to relief my anger vicariously through Nucky or Al Capone tonight!

    Back on here later on...

damn, that's a good one blewy. never would have thought of the hoffman-woodhead connection, but it's spot on.
now let's talk about the lack of an aj-faced custer in this somewhere...

The ill fated goal to goal didn't lose the game that damn Ghost Defense did. The O got it into OT, the Ghost D got them on the plane ride home quicker.

The defense has plenty to answer for, re, yesterday's game.

But a high school coach--with first and goal from the 1/2 yard line, & a handful of timeouts--knows what to call.
    28-24 Chargers.
    5-3.
Good chance at the 6th AFC playoff seed.

I agree on 'what to call'. I don't agree with the premise that it was 100% the Chargers score a TD. Their OL isn't that good. Is a TD more likely if you try to pound it in vs all the crap McCoy pulled? I'd guess that's the case. But it ain't 100%.

Don't take offense at the big red X. Some members are just not good with words,
so they'll just send you a big, fat KISS (you, know, as in "XOXOXO" for "kisses & hugs")
with a huge dollop of bright red lipstick. I've got a secret admirer who gives me
a big kiss every time he wants to say "I love you!"...but words are not his friends.

    Nothing's 100%.
But we've all seen how energetically, high and forceful RM can launch himself when he's trying to get in the end zone.
And these aren't exactly the '85 Bears.
The only excuse not to do the obvious, is if you don't have time outs.

Agree on that. McCoy seemed to think that 3 plays was better than 2, just because 3 > 2. Maybe all the NFL buffet food has him convinced that quantity is better than quality. But more likely he was concerned about the lack of capable 3oo lbers on the roster.

I'm not spinning it any direction. Ask any HC if they'd take RM or Woodhead. I'm not saying RM is not a good back, but two hundred yard games do not make you a great back. He still hasn't broke one big, and his blocking and pass catching are sub par.

Your evaluation of how the redskins played based on their previous record is interesting. They might be in a bad division, but they still played solid football yesterday. Might as well fold it in then because there is no way to beat the undefeated Chiefs since they haven't lost yet. Oh no wait, we must have a 50% chance to win every game because we are 4-4?

And I'm saying at least in the last couple years without a stacked deck, that Turners team folded the second they got behind, not in the lead.

Sorry, I know re-writing history is fun, but you simply do not beat NFL-caliber
opponents 58.3% of the time if half of what you're claiming is true.

RM's pass catching is now "sub par" ? Based on what?
You saw the Chargers' first TD of the year, yes?
    Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 9.05.39 AM.png
The Redskins weren't ESPN's 24th ranked team because they play in a lousy division...
so much as that they don't play football very well...that's how you get to 2-5.
    Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 9.07.55 AM.png

Not sure how you'd know "any HC" would "take" Woodhead over RM...
Belichick worked very closely with Woodhead (who I like...I have no need to pit
    one Charger against another).

You're sure BB thinks Woodhead over Mathews is a no-brainer?

I think you get a lot of people upset with you because, you serve a valid argument ( I tend to think so because a lot of your points I tend to agree on) and some can't throw back an argument on their own, so they will resort to getting angry instead.
    Just an observation.

Emotions run high after a loss like that as Sandolf eluded to in a previous post. I try and shrug those off and move on, but you are a better judge of how successful I am at that... ;)

12/17 on third down efficiency for 70% isn't a bad day for an offense. I also seem to recall at least one maybe two conversion from 1st. and long.

I don't understand their play calling with goal to go and for as what they should have done is not what they did.

Hopefully someone with sense tells McCoy to blast that F'n ball 3 times with a power fullback lead until you get it in.....don't get F'n cute with that stupid fade crap....that's only good with 5 or more yards out.

What y'all are missing is that it was on the players:
“It was all there for us to win,” said Head Coach Mike McCoy. “They out-executed us for three plays. That’s what it comes down to. The parity in this league is too good. You have to be at your best every play and in a situation like that, it was all there for the taking. We didn’t execute well enough to win.”

(I bet the offense is going to like that quote...)
