I don't see the Bolt's as bad a team as some are making them out to be. After Ryginas fumble it was all uphill and every phase of the Bolt game took a hit in this loss. Spikes said it best " take what happened in this game and learn from it" no one just laid down and rolled over, no one quit but there were many uncharacteristic circumstances happening out on the field. Sci-fi shanks a kick, many dropped balls, poor O-line blocking horrible throws in desperation by River's.

The defense did stop the Falcons after Ryginas fumble, Bigby was played by Gonzo and the official took his bait and ran with it. when the Bolt's shifted out of man and into zone coverage they played right into the hands of the Falcons offense. No pass pressure didn't help matters either, they were holding their own against the run until late in the 3rd and were just gassed at that point.

The Charger curse is alive and well, they were not so much beaten by the other team but more so by their own hand. Yes the Falcons are a very good team but the bolt's offense played as poorly of a game as I have seen. Going back to the early Bolt's under Sid Gillman, these kind of crazy and unexplained phenomenon have occurred. Need I bring up the Houston playoff game where Fouts threw 5 Int's and lost to a depleted Oilers at home?

Maybe I'm just looking for something good out of a very poorly played game. I believe this team has the players to rebound and make a statement in the league but it has to start in KC.

Ok... What would you have done differently that would have sealed a victory for the Bolts? Come on, you realtivly new here, but you have made your opinion well known, you are a better head coach than Norv, so dazzle us with your brilliance...

See... Silly me, I forgot it was Norv out there making the plays...

A replay yes. How does that answer any of the questions I posed? Are you incapable of answering them?

I get your sarcasm, but all I'm suggesting is adding some wrinkles to the appropriately named "touchdown or check down" offense we've been running the last 6 years. It's frustrating watching our weak Oline get exposed by 7 step drops and long developing routes.

You made vague 'strawman' references to what you think Norv did wrong. You have not said what you would have done differently. Please let me know how I can bring the conversation down to your level so we can discuss the issues. Apparently the level we are at is confusing you.

I will give you props. You are far more level headed this year after such and ugly loss than I ever saw you before. Well done, IMHO.

Here comes me, the broken record again!!. Atlanta led 13-3 when we got the ball with 3 timeouts and the 2 min warning (2:32 on the clock). Plenty of time to mix it up and go on an attack/drive. Worst case we get stopped and run out of time before kicking another FG. Instead it's pass pass pass, Rivers forces it and we end up with an INT. Short field for Atlanta means it is 20-3 at the half.

My point is we could have been 13-3 down at HT, get the ball the start of the second half and mix it up on O. In my opinion this was the only way we were going to get a score. Of course we would then have to rely on our D to get a freakin stop at some stage, but that's a different story. My comments are all about the O for which Norv is responsible. The guy's crutch is the pass and the state of our O line means we are doomed to fail if this is the MO period.

Well then, we'll take care of that little problem when we hire Fat Teddy back as our DC by mid season , won't we.
