You're more of safety, not a DT. :icon_tease:

    Why? :icon_huh:

He is a space-eater who refuses to move backward playing for a national title contender who is projected to be available in the mid-1st round of the draft.

We can just package our 1st and Buster Davis.

What is it with this team?. How many is that gone down now?. Jeeeeeeez. 3 from the D line alone by my math. This PS guy they have brought in is 30 FFS. If he hadn't got himself off a PS by now WOW.

We need the likes of Vaughn Martin to grow up real fast now.

I hear Boone is gimpy too. Jeeez.

Surely this guy Garay ain't the best out there?.

Lots of ankle's this year... esp with lineman... wonder if it's the shoes? I knwo they are one of the few positions who specific shoes have not been designed. which is ridiculous imo - how can there NOT be a market for specialty shoes like that? Just do it Nike!

I feel ya, DB, as far as who is out there. Here's my take ....

Ron has a feel for this guy & apparently Oggie's ankle is continuing to get worse. You go with a guy that you have a good feel for over a complete shot in the dark - especially at this time of the year.

    I have 2 questions .....

Did we know we were headed to this place 2 weeks ago? If so, I might have started to look earlier. Shaun Smith just signed as well. Maybe Garay is better ... :icon_shrug:

What's with all of these ankle/calf/foot injuries? :icon_huh:

It just seems to keep going ... maybe it's happening all over.

Good thing about Garay is now we've established a rotation at NT, so it's not quite the science experiment it was earlier in the season. If Ron knows him and knows what he's capable of, and he knws hwo Ron runs things it's gotta be better than going w/just Boone and Scott - esp since Boone has the bruised knee.

Vaughn Martin got some good time in last week, but at DE from what I remember, not NT. I don't think we should expect tooooo much from him in 2009 just b/c he was so green to begin with - he was always expected to be a project vs. instant impact.

Garay is a Ron guy - like Scott - I at the time dismissed him but he's filled in admirably. At this point in the year, there's not a lot of choice. The guy you know and all that.

It's time to see a little of what Vicious has. :icon_banana:

I'm not sure NT is that complicated. Your either a beast or your not, you either can collapse the pocket and take up multiple blockers or you can't. Maybe as he goes along in in his carrer and gets more NFL workouts he can get stronger and more explosive off the line, but its not exactly an intellectual position, and according to his workout scores it would seem like he can perform.

but is this rotation of players a recipe for a SB?

I have no way of knowing how other SB winners did it but man, we seem to have a revolving door on defense

The only good thing I can see to come out of this is, Oggie will be getting a head start on next year. If he adds some Lbs by way of muscle and conditions his backsides off we may be set on D line if Martin hangs in town all off season and trains.

Beating the Cowboyz this weekend will big a big boost to our Bolt's, and I think they are going in pizzed off. Take this game in Dallas and we can beat anyone, anywhere. :icon_toast:
