Philip Rivers is a better QB than Drew Brees. I love his energy, and the way he manages the O.

Drew is a good QB and I wish him well, but I am glad we have Rivers.

Couldn't agree more, I never thought I would say I'm glad we have PR over DB and i damn sure didn't plan on being able to say it so early in his career but yeah, pr's better.

Welcome to the party. It's amazing what being able to see the middle of the field can do for an offense.

The only two QB's that I would rather have than Rivers RIGHT NOW are Brady and Manning. Based on the fact that our guy has started only 10 games, I would take him over anyone.

Imagine what he is going to be doing when he REALLY figures this out.

I would be devastated watching him do this for another team. AJ made the right call. C-ya Drew.

It's all good dude. It hit me after the Pittsburgh game when we couldn't run for chiat and he still beat them. That and we're on NFL Replay almsot every week so I get to see and hear this guy on the sidelines and the locker room. Dude is a trip and I'm sure if Marty asked he'd go give one of our linebackers a break and go hit somebody. I was listening to Carrucci today on Sirius and he still has doubts but people forget that this guy was in our system for two years and he's really not "green". Dude said he's waiting for a tough spell for Rivers; Philip already experienced it waiting on the bench behind Brees (who I liked as well).

Like I said I liked Brees but he doesn't win those last two games. No way.

I think Rivers, Shaun Phillips and Erik Parker are our most clutch players.... with the other constant and consistant performers being LT, Gates, Jamal and McCardell.

Couldnt have said it better myself..... I like Drew a lot.... but I really feel comfortable when PR is at the helm. It just feels like the guy is gonna win. I loved the confidence he gave off in the Donkey game after the deflected pick.... it was downright clear that he would make up for it. Besides, he did something as a first year starter that few Bolt QBs had done with any experience..... he won in the no good, cheating, stinking mile high air.

Ladies and Gents.... I do believe we have a franchise QB!

I wouldn't trade our lazer rocket armed charger qb for anyone. He's just getting started. As long as the o-line can block Phillips gonna win alot of important games.:icon_toast:

I couldn't agree more and I loved Brees. I thought he was the 'little QB who could'. But no way does he win those last 2 games. I'm real glad we have philip.:bolt: :icon_toast:

yeah, with Rivers at the QB spot, we haven't had as many batted down balls at the line of scrimmage that we did when Brees was our QB.

All you need to know about Rivers is at the end of the Denver game in the locker room. Marty's giving his speech and the team's huddling together and Rivers shouts out, "Team, baby, team." This guy is the leader of this team, no matter how few games he's started.

When have I said he isnt a good coach? Asking for him to use Rivers better (which he has so I am right) is not saying he is bad.

Agreed! Think what Gates said about being able to see PR throw the ball vs. looking for the ball because DB was lost in the crowd. DB is good, but I think we've seen the "it" factor with PR. Can't say I say DB motivate the team the way PR has. Everybody benefitted on this deal and that is what counts. :icon_banana:
