The Chargers' top-ranked defense will be without one of its stalwarts against the run Sunday at Kansas City.

Defensive end Igor Olshansky suffered a torn meniscus in his knee last week at San Francisco and had surgery yesterday that will sideline him three to four weeks.

Olshansky also suffered a second-degree sprain of his MCL on the Chargers' third play from scrimmage in the season opener. He did not play against Tennessee in Week 2 before returning and participating in the past three games.</blockquote>
