I'd rather face Chris Simms than Cutler.

Cutler's up and down. Sucks one week, great the next.

Simms will just suck every week.

He's still going to play with the torn ligaments.

He wants to play, but can he with torn ligaments? Also, the Broncos have a short week as they play the Giants next Thursday

If Simms does play, expect to see a lot of Moreno.

If he does play, he'll be like a duck in a small pond, and the hunters will be all over him, coming through the rushes.

Question, is it his back ankle that is injured? The one he has to plant on to throw properly?

They're going to rip his foot off his leg! But honestly, it doesn't matter who's QB, they're going to still lose big to the Bolts.

    Exactly!!!
Some people in here are talking like it's such a blessing that Orton is injured.
    First off, that's not right.
Second, we should be able to beat them with Orton at 100%!!! If we can't, then we're NOT legit at all!!!

I heard it is his left ankle, so not the back plant foot. But if it is the front foot and he can not step into the throws very well, then the ball is going to sail on him.

Also I just heard on ESPN that Marshall has a neck injury, but not sure how bad it is.

Man, three straight highly-physical defenses in a row softened them up for us.

The 2005 season that the Steelers won the Super Bowl, they beat a Carson Palmer-less Bengals team in Cincy after knocking him out of the game on their first possession.

Does that make the 2005 SB win not legit?

When the Giants beat the Pats in the Super Bowl, Brady wasn't at 100%. He was still suffering from an ankle injury the Bolts gave him, and thus not that mobile. Does that make the Giants' SB victory not legit?

Yep. And beating Denver in Denver is always a big deal. It should always be considered a real win.

And if this Chargers team beats this Denver team on Sunday... it is a sign that the Chargers are well on their way to becoming a legitimate contender.

I tore 2 of the three sets of ligaments in my right ankle a few years back.

Now, I'm not a pro athlete, and I don't have access to any fancy trainers and rehab equipment.

But, It was SO Sore I had to wear a pretty restrictive ankle brace pretty much everywhere I went for about 2 weeks. At all times. It was VERY painful.

Again, I'm sure Orton is in better condition than I was then, (even though I'm in good shape, but not NFL athlete shape) and I'm sure he's getting lots of ice, and electric stimulation, etc, etc... to speed up the healing process.

    But, it's going to hurt.

You're on this forum wishing the H/C would get fired every single day Mr. Moral High Ground.

    STFU.

Also, nice foreshadowing for this weeks excuse why we won but we still haven't beaten anyone worth a damn. Typical.

Orton with a gimpy ankle or Sims it shouldn't make a difference how the chargers play them.

The D must stuff their run game and force them to throw. Clog the short to medium passing lanes and they should have success slowing down Denver's offense. As usual for the chargers D, it will all depend on how well DL can stand their ground.
