Will you still carry his jock strap when he is the Arizona Cardinals #4 WR?

    Dear Kassim,

You are are a great Special Teams player, as for WR you have 4 catches in 3 years and from i can remember 2 years ago you dropped some pretty easy passes that were thrown down the field. Having players like Chambers,Jackson,Parker,Naanee,Davis,Gates you will not have the ball thrown your way,you couldnt even hold Davis's jock strap and he was a rookie last year. So Mr. Osgood i want you to know your roll around here, i dont want you to make the same mistake Milligan,Edwards,Neal made, cause when we are getting fit for Super Bowl rings next year i hope you knew your roll and kept your mouth shut and just played your part otherwise you can go be a #4 WR for anyother team in the NFL cause your not a WR

    Thank You,

    signed... The Chargers

He is a role player on special teams, that is how he got to the Pro Bowl the last couple years... I hope he wakes up and realizes that...

    Osgood = Special Teams Stud
    Osgood = ****** Wide Receiver

Know your role Kassim and shut your pie whole before you get yourself run out of here like Jason Ball and Hanik Milligan.

You never heard Hank Bauer biatch when we traded for Chuck Muncie.

    Dear Kassim,

I can understand your frustration, but you need to realize the truth before you ruin your life here w/ the Chargers: You are a demon on special teams but you are simply not a good WR Kassim. I love ya dude, you have always been friendly when I've talked to you in public, I will always remember the killer time I had on the Chargers cruise a few years ago drinking beers and talking **** with you, and you are one of my favorite players on the team. Please, don't be a selfish prick like all the others who tried to bully AJ and subsequently got their asses run outta town because the believed themselves to be better than they really are and more valuable to this team. Don't blow it when we are so close. Just enjoy the ride.

In the words of my hero, The Rock, "Know your role and shut your mouth!"

Love your friend and your fan,
    RTL

that is NO doubt intentional... he's seen it work for the desired result.... I wonder if AJ will allow his agent to seek a trade to say the WR depleted turds... :icon_sad:

Why can't he just be satisfied with being the best ST specialist in the NFL?

If you were good enough to be a starting WR you'd already be there, Kasiim

It's not like he hasn't had the opportunity to prove himself.

    Suggestion to AJ...
Tell Osgood to show up at training camp and he will compete with Buster and Naanee for the #3 spot.
But he is to respect your decision in the end!!!

Yes it is because Neil is one of the best fullbacks ever but he'll be 38 next season and you can't do this forever.

Osgood has had his chances at wide receiver. I think he's good but not as good as Chambers, Jackson, Parker, etc.
Most likely, Parker will not be here next season. So like I said "let him compete with Buster and Naanee for the #3 spot in Spring Training." If he doesn't beat those guys, then he needs to shut up and accept his role!!

all that may be true, but this is the Not For Long league... guys come and go annually... no need to sling **** at the guy for wanting more... the dood's been an overachiever, it's his nature...

I AM his biggest supporter and will certainly miss him, but in 40 years of bolt ball, I've lost my favorites before, and hopefully will again...

They have nothing to lose finding out if he can play safety.

Nobody's slinging **** at the guy for wanting more. Hell, just about all NFL players want the same. He's no different in that respect.

But whining to the press isn't the way to get it done. AJ has a track record of not tolerating that. I like Kassim. But to take his battle to the press? I can't believe he actually thinks this is going to help.

Let's put it this way, Kassim; on a team that hasn't had a real #1 receiver for the last seven or eight years, where the best we've had was an aging McCardell and an overachieving Eric Parker, you, a 6'5" prototypical NFL receiver could not distinguish yourself enough on offense to earn a spot.

What does that tell you? We wasn't exactly competing against Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne here.

WAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!! It's about competition you baby. AJ isn't going to fart around forever waiting for this magical wide receiver that you claim to be to step up and stand out......

We've done that one before Kassim, you have no value, because you do one thing! You're some undrafted nobody who made his way based on special teams play only. If you didn't do that well, you would have been cut ages ago, because you have no special skills at receiver.

    No.

This would be like Michael Turner complaining that he's not the feature back. (while he was here, anyways)

When you're not the best on the roster at the position you're not going to be on top of the depth chart.

He should be happy he's as good as he is at ST and that this keeps him on an NFL roster because his receiving skills certainly wouldn't.

Another difference is that Neal was told his PT was going to be cut into this year. The only way that happens for Osgood is if he were going to be taken off special teams.

While I love Osgood, I think Neal has also earned a little more leeway in these sorts of issues as well. (I don't think he made a very good choice either. hardly any teams run a true fullback as much as the Chargers did the last couple of years. He won't get much more time elsewhere than he would have here).

It's kinda silly for Osgood to whine about lack of playtime and then refuse to attend offseason workouts.

Does he really think that's going to help him move up the depth chart?

'Bye-bye, Kassim. Love your ST play, but, if you really want to start, you'll come to camp & prove it. You don't want to play chicken w/AJ. Remember what he did to Gates?
