I'm surprise it took this long for the citizens of San Diego to try get rid of Aguirre. If successfull, this would be positive news for the Chargers to try and negotiate a stadium deal within the city of San Diego should the efforts in Chula Vista fail

These sort of situations are very tricky to deal with and he finally just went too far in his actions

I just realized the problem with getting rid of him from office is that he still resides here. Ultimately this means he can still head potential law suits to stop any possible deals agreed upon by the Chargers and the City.

I would love to see the following:

The aforementioned efforts to remove Aguirre from office would get rid of one of those obstacles.

I'm on board supporting this plan but it just needs time to be worked on and get into the body politic

You probably aren't very far off. Spanos donates ridiculous sums of money to the Republican Party.

    Classic conflict of interest.

    Dude is busted.

Oh and if anyone seriously thinks the Chargers can not get their stadium deal off the ground because of Aguirre, does not know ****. There are a bazillion Bruce Hendersons and Aguirres out there looking to make a name for themselves and those are not valid excuses.

Builders bond around this kind of ****. They are called Performance Bonds to adhere to the plans and to the satisfaction of the goddamn building inspector who is either in a good or pisssy mood.

Using the excuse of the City attorney is just posturing and really embarassing.

I find it classic that he wasn't available for comment. This guy holds pressers when he picks his nose.

Looking at Aguirre, I find it very hard to believe he was the bully. I think all those years of being picked on has caused him to the rebel that he is. As distorted as his view of "protecting" the public's best interest is, he's only hurting it in terms of the millions of dollars tax payers need to fork out to pay for his foolish law suits.
