Bored. Let's do a poll. (That's what she said)

    Please elaborate.

I voted HC. Mainly because I don't know everything that the GM job entails. Also, I don't understand all these damn contracts hah. I understand strategy though.

No doubt. But remember even AJ "I'm god" Smith had Ed McGwire. Cap stuff is mostly simple, it's the negotiations where I'd go crosseyed myself.

I feel the need to point out that the only people who ever called AJ Smith "god" are some fans.

Anyway, as for the poll, I'd be a ****** head coach. I'm not the motivational type (at least not in that type of environment) and I don't know the X's and O's too well (although for the sake of the hypothetical I'd accept the premise that I'd learn them).

Any rate, I think I'd do better at talent evaluation and roster building than trying to coach them to winning on Sunday.

I like GM; I think the off-season is fascinating plus you really have such a say in how the team is formed and built

Well, based on my Madden skills and fantasy football records...

(In all seriousness, I think it would be interesting to fill in the role of a GM. Can't say I know enough about both roles to definitively answer this question though.)

I'd much rather be a HC - no real rhyme or reason

You know, I often scoff at how in depth we all get in regards to what the team should do (myself included) but I've often wondered how a "conglomerate GM" of sorts where decisions really were made via the BoltTalk message board would work, lol

Of course, you'd still need the rep to hash out the deal with who we decide to target and stuff like that, but even so.
