He'll be back and McKinney is a very good back up. The only concern I have is depth at that position while Jamal is recovering...

Also Jamal is expected to be back by Houston...Bingham can fill in as a backup during that week, if JW needs another week.

    We should be fine!

This is the perfect time for Jamal to have his knees "scoped". Very little trauma to the knee and he only needs a week of rest.

With the BYE, he gets that week and can then attend the 3 or 4 practices before the Houston game.

I'll be surprised if Jamal recovers quickly enough to play against Houston.

In fact, I would prefer that he wait a week to make sure he's good to go for the stretch run.

Big Bad Brandon Mckinney will step up if Jamal cannot play against Houston. The last couple of weeks, Mckinney has gotten more and more playing time.

Jamal is a biiiiig guy and his knees are always getting a workout just holding him up. Both knees scoped???? I'd be surprised if he's back in two weeks.

mckinney can do the job with some help from some friends. Which he will have plenty of. We need jamall fully healthy for the stretch run of getting into the playoffs and then beating the craap out of the patseys to win the afl championship.

It does bring up the thought that the chargers might really start looking for his replacement in the future in next years draft.

If his knees are injured I guess this is the perfect time for the bye week
    .
As far as a replacement goes......it should be priority number 1 in next years draft, even above our secondary and recievers. Our defense is half gone without Jamal, and he's having some major injury issues the last few years, and he isn't exactly young in NFL years.

    ditto

take away the run and trust me Minnesota has nothing otherwise. Houston I'm willing to go without him IF NEEDED (and I don't think it will be). Minnesota we need him up and beating the double teams

As long as he's ready for the Colts game I'll be happy I want him to be at full speed for the rest of the season :bolt:

No fuking way. Not possible. No chance.

I say sit Jamal for Houston and then have him 110% for when we have to contain Adrian Peterson.

Ditto. Even if having Jamal out costs us a win against Houston or the Hornheads, neither game is worth a setback for our beast in the middle. The AFC West is bad this year so we should make the playoffs no sweat as long as we FINISH STRONG.

It will also give AJ a chance for a true assessment of McKinney as a possible successor to Jamal.

Guard Mike Goff had an operation done on his left thumb Monday morning. He will be held out of practice this week but is not expected to miss the Houston contest or any practice leading up to it. :bolt:
