I'm getting old, I didn't know half of those terms. "Grampa's medicine" is a good one though.

I'll be arriving in Nashville tomorrow night at about 8:30. :abq1:

Lets get a tailgate going. Any ideas?

Actually TK believe it or not, some of the best outdoor bud in the country is grown in TN. I know it sounds crazy but there really are a lot of backwoods, hillbilly families for whom the pot fields are the sole source of income.

    Check this **** out

    But wait there's more

Marriott Vanderbilt is a good choice jdog. Right on campus at VU, connected to a PF Chang's and Fleming's.

You're also within a mile of Stoney River Steakhouse, Blackstone Brewery, The Pancake Pantry, Ted's Montana Grill, and J. Alexander, lots of good places to eat in the Midtown/Vandy/West End area.

And you're also not too far from the Division Street/Vanderbilt drinking and clubbing spots like Layl'a Rul, Code Blue, Blue Bar, and Virago. And if you go further up Division towards downtown, you'll be on Music Row and see places like Dan McGuinesses, Two Doors Down, On The Rocks, and The Tin Roof. Pretty cool areas.

If you want to go downtown, there are a lot of places to check out on the nightlife. If you want a taste of "Old Nashville", go down to SoBro (which is Broadway, between 6th and 1st Avenue, south of the Sommet Center). There are a lot of the old school Country and Western Honky-Tonks that Hank, Waylon, Johnny, and all the old school country dudes played (that's not really my style, but its good stuff for the tourists). Wolfy's, Tootsies, and The Stage are three places that you'll want to see if that's you're style or if you just want to experience it.

If you're downtown and that's not your thing, check out B.B. King's. Its a fairly upscale place on Historic 2nd Avenue, but if you want to just be chill and listen to some good blues and eat some Southern cuisine. There is also a lot of good places to drink and club down there like Graham Central Station, Cadillac Ranch, Coyote Ugly, etc.

Hope that helps and have a good time, except for Sunday between Noon and 3PM Central!!
