Yea unless the Panthers suspend him, which they did before for hitting someone (1 game).

As Joe McRugby said on the CMB, when Smith was suspended, it was because the fight happened two days before a regular season game, and Steve Smith was a rookie then.

Now that he's their main offensive threat, and it's at least one month before the season opener, he'll be given a slap on the wrist and told not to do it again (yeah, right, he'd listen).

The Panthers are under pressure to make the playoffs this year after missing for two straight years, or more specifically, John Fox. There's no way he's going to suspend his major offensive weapon.

Jammer will probably get "the call" since I have a feeling Smith will be lining up against him quite a bit in a month.

This is his second fight with a teammate since he went pro. And he had issues back at Utah in college. But this fool is a monster and a badass, and I mean all of that as compliments. He came from a gangbanger's life and worked his heart out to become what he is. He has a TON of fire in him, too much sometimes, but but no one will out-will him on the football field.

I'd take him over ANY of our WRs, including his temper, on this team and watch him become a fiery leader, next to a quiet lead-by-example LT and a personable Rivers. He has anger-management issues for sure, but he isn't a "complete prick." He reminds me of Milton Bradley the ex-Padre. Really emotional and fiery.

He should keep his physical outbursts for opponents, not his teammates. I like his fire & competitiveness, too, but not directed in a physical assault on teammates. this only serves to create bad blood in the locker room.

I'll keep our guys, thanks. We'll see MR. Smith soon. My guess is that he doesn't have a very good day then.

Wow, that's the only guy I was worried about on that team. Can't take them lightly no matter what, but this makes it a little easier for us if he's not in the lineup.

    The stars are aligning.

When the moon is in the Seventh House
    And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius
    The Age of Aquarius
    Aquarius! Aquarius!

    Our age is dawning.

Looks like Brandon Marshall is suspended for 3 games as well. 2 with counseling.

I was hoping he would be able to play in week 2. If you thought the Cutler diabetes excuses were bad, wait till after the SD/DEN game...

So how long until Cotchery gets suspended for week 3?
