KFFL reports that ESPN has Eric Parker being released on Friday. Too bad for the bail bondsman. He'll sign with another team very soon I'm sure. That's if he's healthy.

Parker will either be wearing Cleveland Brown or Jet Green.

Whoever he ends up playing for, I wish him well. He was our best receiver when we didn't have anybody else. He showed up for and played hard every game. That's more than you can say for a lot of prima dona receivers.

Yeah that's true. It's sad, but that are the rules of the game.

My source says, Parker doesn't want to play football anymore, or ever again.

He's probably no more than a million dollar cap hit to release.

This is a hard move for me to figure out. If this happens, then Malcolm and Kassim are locks for the roster.

Yup Parker. You're going to have to get on "Jettalk" or "Brownstalk" when EP goes....I really do like EP. Met him personally at Seau's rest. a few years ago and he's a cool dude. And like some of you have eluded to, he was the ONLY WR we had when we had nothing. Dude went from bagging groceries to NFL WR. I wish him the best wherever he goes, but only if he's not playing us. He's not a big guy. Hell, I stood next to him and it seemed like I wasn't looking up too far and I'm a short dude. He's just too damn fragile. He's not the bad guy some of you have made him out to be.

i agree; been a huge parker fan for years but we just don't have a place for him anymore. I'm not happy about having to lose Parker but losing poof isn't bad at all:lol:

Well I suppose that ends it...EP was a helluva clutch guy minus one game. Like others said, he was the only bright spot at receiver for some time.

Parker was okay in his day, but was ultimately unable to put his best foot forward when we needed him the most.

As soon as I heard about Castillos deal, I thought EP is gone. It's a numbers game and our front office has been playing it well. Who gets the next deal? PR, Igore, SM? I don't know but I like the moves so far.

Bye, Bye Parker, good bye. You did your best here but now it's time to go pump gas or something else.

Sorry to see him go. They guy played his heart out for us, and I would have rather have seen him out-competed in camp, but I'll defer to AJ's judgement here.

Perhaps his injury is worse than we thought.

Fair winds, EP. There hasn't been a Charger WR with more heart.

If cutting Parker is cap space for Castillo then the move makes sense. Once he gets signed by another team, cap space opens up for the next signing.

As an outsider this move suprised me.

I had a good opinion of Parker.

Is it possible that he is not fully recovered from his injuries??

As a professional he should get a roster spot elsewhere.

    49'ers??

I came here currious over what the reason was.
