I can remember the first time I ever heard Paul Harvey. It was during a family vacation road trip in 1969. Of course I had to ride all the way in the back of the Ford Country Squire station wagon. Remember the seats in the back where you were seated backwards? That was my domain.

Rest in peace to a great American.

Paul Harvey's radio show kept me company on a lot of long drives. His unique humor was good enough to keep me awake listening for the rest of his story. Sad to hear his story has ended - a good man.

Ditto. I loved Paul Harvey's "The Rest of the Story" segments. He will be missed. A class guy. Rest in Peace Mr. Harvey.

Amen to all of the above!

This discussion brings back some great memories of the late '70s and '80s, when I'd spend weekends with my sister and brother-in-law and their kids. Ron listened to Paul Harvey every single day, and he not only entertained listeners, but engaged us and educated us as well. He will be sorely missed!
