Rivers is AFC Offensive Player of the Month
    [IMG]

Coming off perhaps his best season, Philip Rivers put together an impressive first month.

Thursday, the NFL named the Chargers' quarterback the AFC's Offensive Player of the Month for September.

It's the fourth time Rivers, 32, has won the award.

A day earlier, Jets coach Rex Ryan, whose team will face the Chargers on Sunday, said Rivers is the league's MVP through four games.

“I really don’t get too caught up in it,” Rivers said. “I just think it’s a reflection of our team playing really well. Any time you’re completing a lot of passes and throwing touchdowns, there’s a lot of people involved.”

Through four games, Rivers leads the league with a 114.5 passer rating. He has led the Chargers (3-1) to three consecutive victories, starting with the home opener against the Super Bowl champion Seahawks.

“From a passing game standpoint, it takes every guy to make it go," Rivers said. "The guys up front, the running backs and all the guys getting open in a hurry making tough catches have done that over the last month.”

Nice. I like to see the guy get some good pub.
I think Rivers was better in '08 and '09 than last year,
but I understand the reasons for writing it that way...

O/T: Did the Chargers replace that Alworth jersey flag with the new and ugly Seau flag design? That would be ruining a classic.

^^^They are both up. Meaning a Seau jersey flag and an Alworth jersey flag. No more opposing team flags hanging on game day. It looks awesome!

Yes, I like the new look a lot. I always felt like the Spanos' didn't do enough with the team's history, like the Chargers have only existed since they bought the team. I'm happy to see the history hanging up there instead of a bunch of other team's logos.

Wouldn't this make more sense in the SB odds thread? It seems abruptly random in here.

I haven't fed a troll in awhile so here goes...

The two-part answer to your question is currently:
    1. "Go fuque yourself." ;)
    2. Whether the Chargers win zero, 5, or 100 Super Bowls the answer will be (see #1).

Want to go somewhere like the rural south, but without the good weather or southern hospitality?
Green Bay just might be for you!

Not a one. But that's why Chargers fans kick the sh*t out of so many fans of the America's Bandwagon teams: we're all still here and still love our team.

Haven't you heard? There are a lot of Packers fans which leads to sellouts and having a lot of fans makes you more loyal.

    1. I'm sorry
    2. Cool
    3. You didn't strike one with me I just found it odd and out of place. But are you surprised it struck a nerve with some? Randomly bringing up a team's shortcomings in a conversation that doesn't even remotely have anything to do with it tends to do that.
    4. They won't have anymore without a new stadium
    5. Not much of one really
    6. You trolled in here

I didn't see a shortcomings thread, do you have one . LOL
Virginia is a fine place to live, I'm sure S.Cal. is as well.
    As for trolling, well...

I used to live in Woodbridge and then Norfolk. That was just the obvious troll response since I wanted to reply to the entire list lol

But there's a revised Super Bowl odds thread right by this one where many of us are making fun of the Raiders and their 999:1 odds. Your troll reply would have been perfect there. In here it was just odd and random.

I grew up in Chesapeake,Va. My Father was a Navy Master Chief and I spent 14 years working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. I spent time at every Naval facility in the greater Norfolk area at one time or another. I now live in Richmond, nice town.
I refused to be a Redskin fan, and have been a Packers fan since 1963. I'm not a troll, just a hobo .

I saw a stat that shows that PR has 14 Inits since the start of last season, which is tied for the lowest in the league for that span. That is in comparison of the 19 QBs with at least 1000 snaps in that time.
