What are you talking about? He chased down Patrick Surtain to save a pick 6!

    My boy is deceptively slow.

Is this thread a joke? PR has 2 key turnovers including a should-have-been pick six setting the Chiefs up with a big lead....then builds his pass yardage totals up agains't Herm's prevent and the last ranked Chiefs defense by nickeling and diming down the field....throws a wobbly duck TD pass that Floyd was lucky to catch...blows the 2 pt conversion on AWFUL overthrow...and then we need a miracle onside kick just to get to the point where he barely gets the go-ahead TD......and of course...in true Rivers form...he runs around the sidelines making himself look like a jackass when we hadn't even won the game.....and almost ended up losing it if not for a botched FG by the Chiefs. PR made the frigging 2-11 Chiefs defense look like the Steelers.

Is Norv GAWD in your world too?

No kidding! I mean, Rivers didn't even block any of the defenders that were trying to sack him and pressuring him on every down! He sucks!

Is your response a joke? He had guys in his face all game long, never quit, overcame a bad pass and led his team to a win. You are actually complaining because he completed passes against a prevent defense? Would you prefer incompletions? After throwing the go ahead pass, would you prefer he go sit on the bench and pout? Of course he showed some excitement. Geez, I guess once a hater, always a hater.

I felt like the old Philip was back today - he was all fired up - standing up for Dielman and then his victory lap after the TD in the 4th quarter    He can run and jump and cheer all he ****ing likes IMO - I'd prefer he risk looking like a "jackass" and be fired up than to look "cool" and lack a spark. It's not his fault that Cason got tangled up with the ref, or that the defense let KC get close enough to try the FG.

He made some mistakes, big ones, but he also drove the team down the field and got the win when he had to. :icon_shrug: If you want to complain about a win go right ahead but I'll take it and enjoy it. We're one step closer to making that final game vs. Denver mean something.

IMO that was huge and will have rewards in the future. Those linemen will walk through fire for a guy like that.

 Once again you post a joke unfairly ripping Rivers.
Did you know that KC has 9 defensive sacks on the entire season? Did you know that? Did you know that 5 of them are against us? If that dont tell you how bad our OL is i dont know what will.

PR's only fault is he holds the ball down too low when he drops back and it will cause fumbles when the OL get s beat and they were getting beat a lot by a Chiefs defense that hadnt had a sack since the last time we played them.

Rivers never quit and led us back to a win and at NO TIME did KC play a prevent defense. Learn the difference. I am losing faith in you.

I suppose it is also Rivers fault that Norv on a 2 point conversion is getting plays in late and then calling for motion that takes even more time? Sometimes Norv is just a douche when calling plays.

I dont know why you dont like Rivers but you better get used to him being here for a long time...and probably setting some team records while developing into an elite QB in the NFL.

I knew you'd be by piss in everyone's cherios. Kinda surprised it took this long.

Tell me, how did LT do against the team that's WORST against the run?

Rivers is the LEADER of this team. Get over it.

(And in answer to your question NO, Norv is not GAWD.)

    That is all. :flag:

Just remember, Tampa Bay runs the same exact defensive scheme as the Broncos (to better effect) and Rivers absolutely owns the Broncos.

Yep - PR needs to learn to hold the ball higher & be more aware of pressure, but it sure as hell isn't his fault that the pressure is there. Our OL made KC's DL look like they have 90 sacks this yr. instead of 9. And still he brings us back.

Screw the PR haters. Better to hate on Norv. And AJ for bringing Norv here.

Also some of the candy-*** defensive players who look like they're afraid of contact. :icon_evil:

I have to admit that I was very shocked to see him actually run down Surtain. I really did not think he had it in him to do that. :icon_toast:

Anyone who doubts Philip at this point seriously needs to turn in their Chargers fan card and GTFO. Seriously.

Is he perfect? No. Is he the best thing going for us nowadays? Yeah, pretty much. Is he our bright future? Absolutely.

Chargesr fans: Either get on the team or get out.

...Well Gawd needs to not act like a fool, running around signaling #1, like his TD pass had just won the Super Bowl. Bowe had the onside kick right in his hands and somehow had it knocked loose. Gimme a break, down 21-3 and a lackluster pile of manure until the lucky ending in a game that meant the season to them.

Wow, I didn't know Rivers played on defense :icon_shrug: WTF are you talking about? HE almost ended up losing it? :icon_huh: I guess he also lost the Denver game (where he brought his team back) and the Carolina game, and hell, the NO game since how date he allow 38 points?

Every freaking QB will have turnovers, and some will come in the process of a comback (while taking more risks) but great QB's don't dwell on them, don't choke because of them, and find ways to win games, Rivers did that yesterday and he has done it many other times

EDIT : also, how dare he rack up yards in a 4th quarter comeback attempt

Yes, god forbid our QB gets excited about a touchdown. We should have just kept Sheli so we could have a robot QB. That way nobody could get upset about "emotion".

Yes...I migrated due to the anti-LT contingent there...

Admittedly I'm a little hard on Rivers...but the "Rivers" fans (many who are not "Chargers" fans) who have followed him with lips attached to his buttocks....and who go out of their way to rip a true Chargers legend just because they want their boy to be perceived as the hero of this team....pi$$ me off....If I'm to be the "defender" of LT to the Rivers crowd....so be it.

I was more fired up yesterday...but we lucked out to beat a 2-11 team...a team we were losing to in large part due to PR's horrific 1st 3 quarters....and some fans on here act like we won a playoff game or something and that Rivers should be put on a pedestal for digging himself out of his own hole.

Apologies to all of the actual Chargers fans on here who like both LT and Rivers. I'm mostly P.Oed at the general direction of this team under Norv and the pass first philosophy that has made this team soft.

Get some linemen. Bring back the power run blocking schemes we used in 2006. Get back to physical Chargers football. Do those 3 things and I will love Rivers and be happy.
