Well, you don't hear this everyday: Philip Rivers blames his crappy end-of-season numbers on ... hyperactivity. Yep, you read that right, the dude needs the team doctor to prescribe him some Ritalin (and if he won't do it, maybe Shawne Merriman's doctor will).

To his credit, Rivers was still one of the league's best quarterbacks last season, ranking better than Tom Brady, Steve McNair Brett Favre and Ben Roethlisberger in terms of total value, according to Football Outsiders.

That said, I don't think Football Outsiders had a stat for "spazzing out between offensive series and its effect on a player's performance." If they did, chances are Rivers would rank pretty high. I recall during the Chiefs-Chargers Sunday Night game several instances of Rivers actually trying to rip his helmet off and looking like he wanted to take his head with it.

But that's what Norvell Turner's in San Diego for; he's known as an offensive mastermind, though he's had his issues as a head coach. Of course, in his defense, his last two head-coaching gigs were in Oakland and Washington, so he probably deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Ask the Cincy Bengals and Denver Goat Balls if he needs to chill. I watched the replays of those games on NFL Network recently and Turner and LT were laughing at Philip on the sidelines (in a good way).

The kid is "hyper-kinetic" - a physical form of hyper-activity but it involves the nerve endings. My son didn't grow out of it until he was about 30. He couldn't set still either. ;) :icon_toast:

What I find a little funny.

    1) Pat fans say Norv is a bad coach, reasons given he had a bad season with the Raiders and Redskins.
    2) Pat fans say Moss still have it, they say the Raiders hurt Moss, he couldn't play with a crappy team, etc. He had character issues in Oakland and with the Vikings, that will all change say Pat fans.

Wait that isnt only Pat fans, that is a lot of sports announcers too. I guess a ****** performance by Moss inst his fault, it is his teams. However if a coach goes to a crappy team and doesn't do much better it is his fault.

Sorry Kind of off topic, although Norv was mentioned, I just thought it was funny...
