When the Chargers didn't make it on third down, I wisely went to the kitchen
to pull a pizza out of the oven, while the Chargers "punted"… :whistling:

3 of 4 AFC West teams in the playoffs. Just amazing. Besides the Chargers, all other AFC teams have a minimum of 11 wins.

I really hope we go on a run here. Will be epic.

Hopefully only long to enough to get a change of clothes or two before heading on to Denver... :D

So what are you and Leo going to wager on this one?

In the words of the great Abraham Lincoln:

"Seven score and nine years hence, a great Butler shall come forth and beat
    upon
an Ohio gridiron quarter back-man, as were he a red-headed step child."

What, you think this is some lame beer commercial perpetuating the post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy?
That every time I go in the kitchen to pull out a pizza, Weddle will fumble get a first down?

All that stands between us and crushing Denver's soul is Andy Dogshit. Let's do this.

You gotta think Denver is annoyed we made it, they know we can go into Denver and win. They'd rather have Baltimore, Miami, or Pittsburgh any day.

If they're being honest, any fan base of the AFC PO teams would tell you we're the last team they want to see. We have a stud QB and we're playing with house money. We looked like the better team in Cincinnati last time. Had it not been for 3 uncharacteristic fumbles, we most likely would have won. And Phil is a great cold weather QB.

Chargers averaged almost 26 points a game this year, other than the bizarro 10 point  result in Cincy.
I don't expect to see the Chargers under 20 this coming Sunday…

[Edit: D'oh! Meant to say "bizarro 10 point  result v. Cincy." Thanks Reefer]

Again there were key fumbles throughout that game, and I can't remember the INT but I'm pretty sure it was a turrible route by Vincent Brown.

The "interception" in the Cincy game was really more of a fumble. It was a fine throw and catch, but Gates basically let Kirkpatrick take it away. So got credited as a pick when it really wasn't Rivers' fault.

Yep. It was ripped out of Gates' hands before he made a "football move" with the ball.

Gates fumbled twice in that game, and Keenan Allen in our own half which led to a Cincy FG correct?

Either way, Cincy is a different team at home. We have to be mistake free, I have a lot of confidence in this team on the road, I think there a better road team than home team, but we'll see.

I'm thinking the way the wins have come, even if ugly at times, there may be something special to this team. The way luck has fell right our lap two weeks in a row. It's a tough road to travel but we've beat the Colts, Broncos, and Chiefs (all on their turf), barely lost to the Bengals, and haven't played the Pats.

It's a small glimmer but there is hope. As usual, we stand a better chance than the experts will give us.

Gates and Allen each fumbled once. The other giveaway was counted as an interception because Gates let the corner take the ball away before he had made a move. But however you slice, none of the turnovers were Rivers' fault.

After the last two unbeaten at home teams we faced, I have some crazy confidence that the Chargers will play their best football. They've been playing to their opponents level all season, and now all they have left are the best.

Here's to hoping they go into Cincinnati next week and own the game start to finish.

For the next 6 days though, I'm just going to enjoy this win.

Man, I'm already getting amped up for the Cincy game. I'm going to be worthless at work this week (but I'm pretty much a slacker anyway so hopefully the boss won't notice.)

Merle Hodge on ESPN was showing real frustration about the field goal line up, and the forward progress call in OT.

I have to see the rule on the lining up to one side of the center, but no flag no foul I guess.

In OT, I did not hear a whistle, but often on TV when the crowd is loud you dont. I do know the line judge ran in and pointed the play down at the 30. Take what you will.

The Chiefs were in position to win many times but didnt.

One thing I do agree with Hodge on is the NFL should have replay in OT.

Anyone else plan to purchase some emotional insurance by putting money on Cincy for this one? That's been my strategy ever since the epic loss to the Patriots years ago. Problem with this one is that with Cincy -7 there is plenty of room for them to win and not cover.

The rest of the NFL told San Diego fans to quit crying after the bogus FG penalty cost us a win in week one against the Texans. I guess they can take their own advice.
