I don't think there's much to this because nobody's linked any credible source, but I keep seeing this pop up on other message boards.

um what would the Chiefs be trading for Boldin?

The Cards would be trading Leinart and Boldin for Marshall which would be stupid as hell.

The person who told me about this said the Chiefs give Dewayne Bowe to Arizona, but this link didn't add that part.

I don't think this is legit anyways, so whatever.

    Report: Jets want Broncos' Marshall
    September 2, 2009 11:38 AM

    Posted by ESPN.com’s Bill Williamson

    Newsday reports
that the New York Jets are exploring a trade for suspended Denver receiver Brandon Marshall.

The real question is: Are the Denver Broncos considering trading Marshall?

ESPN’s Ed Werder reports that Denver sources claim the team has had no contact with the Jets. From the folks in Denver I’ve talked to, the Broncos are still reluctant to trade Marshall.

Now, after his suspension and the events leading up to it, the Broncos are more willing to listen. But still they want at least a first-rounder for Marshall.

Overall, though, the Broncos would rather keep Marshall this year and get some production out of him. Remember, the Broncos are trying to make a stand here. After the Jay Cutler fiasco, they want to make sure the locker room knows it is not in control. If Denver trades Marshall it will be on the team's terms.

that's a very weird three way trade. With the Jets he'd be a good compliment to Jerricho Cotchery who's more a #2

not to mention AZ would be without a backup QB if Warner goes down.

    :icon_shrug:

and I can't see Fitz and Marshall wanting to share the spotlight

Fitz is not the prototypical primadonna WR, he wouldn't have a problem sharing the spotlight.

Now, if they tried to put Bolden on the same team as Marshall...

If I were the Cards I'd want Bowe over Marshall, why trade one headache for an even bigger one?

Marshall & Whisenhunt would never be able to co-exist.

Whis put Bolden in the doghouse and was still able to get some production out of him, but Anquan ain't nealy the disruptive POS that Marshall is.

Not even douchebag Jay Cutler would defend Marshall. That's sayin' something.

AZ has a great, probably the best receiver core, they have an aging QB and behind him the potential franchise QB. They trade a franchise QB, the one who will probably take over after Kurt, for ANOTHER receiver who won't help their passing game at all.

Not even a good made up rumor.

If I were the Cards, I'd just work on signing Boldin.

    Sources: Broncos eye Jets' Harris

    ESPN.com news services
    September 2, 2009

The Denver Broncos would want New York Jets linebacker David Harris in any trade scenario for wide receiver Brandon Marshall, two NFL sources tell ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Wednesday.

There is no indication that the Jets would surrender Harris, who was fifth on the Jets in tackles last season despite playing only 11 games due to groin surgery. He led the Jets in tackles the previous season.

Marshall has requested a trade from the Broncos, and new coach Josh McDaniels finally suspended him this week for conduct detrimental to the team.

In any trade for Marshall, Denver would reportedly like a player that could contribute to its team this season and a draft pick that would help later on. But the Broncos aren't making any deal if they don't think it improves them now. That has left them without a viable deal. McDaniels went so far to say that the Broncos aren't shopping their disgruntled receiver.

"There are no discussions whatsoever taking place between the Denver Broncos and any team in the National Football League regarding Brandon Marshall," McDaniels said Wednesday. "We are looking forward to having Brandon back on the sixth of September and starting our preparation for Cincinnati with him."

Adam Schefter covers the NFL for ESPN Insider.

McDaniels makes clear statement on Marshall talks
    September 2, 2009 5:15 PM

    Posted by ESPN.com’s Bill Williamson

Josh McDaniels has not garnered a reputation for being particularly forthright when it comes to personnel matters.

McDaniels comes from New England, where playing it close to the vest has become an art form. However, McDaniels didn’t hesitate in sharing his thoughts about the New York Jets’ reported interest in trading for Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall, who the team has suspended, at least until Sept. 6. McDaniels said no deal is now the works.

“There are no discussions whatsoever taking place between the Denver Broncos and any team in the National Football League regarding Brandon Marshall,” McDaniels. “We are looking forward to having Brandon back on the sixth of September and starting our preparation for Cincinnati with him.”

Of course, anything can change at any time. But McDaniels made a point to let the world know what he’s thinking in this case.

    ESPN’s Ed Werder
is reporting that Denver is monitoring the Jets for tampering about Marshall. Perhaps that’s why McDaniels was so open.

As for as the tampering charges, Denver might as well monitor the Jets. It doesn’t hurt anything and if on the odd chance, tampering charges are filed and eventually proven, the Broncos could get an extra draft pick out of the deal.

More tampering talk may develop down the road. What we know now is McDaniels wants everyone to believe the Broncos are not talking to any team about trading Marshall.

If AZ can get a first rounder out of Denver somehow, they could pick up Tebow. I think Tebow is a better QB than Lienart. For a back up for this year they could give us some beef for whitehurst.

Denver is on shedule to win 3-4 games this year if they are lucky which would give AZ a top 3 pick next year.

    Yeah, whatever.

He made similar "clear statements" about Cutler about a week before he was traded.
