It's no secret that the Chargers took great strides last spring to improve their pass rush. Mission accomplished for General Manager A.J. Smith. The Bolts are fourth in the NFL with 38 sacks on the season, and the league is starting to take notice.

The Chargers went a full game without a sack for the first time all season last week against the Dolphins and players can tell a difference in the way opponents prepare for them.

"They're really planning for it," linebacker Steve Foley said. "We're seeing a lot of max protection now. They're also double teaming us and using extra guys to chip us and allow them more time. It's smart on their behalf."</blockquote>
