So, they signed Gronkowski this offseason in order to cut him?....... odd. ;)

Same thing with Goodman. It's not like they spent a fortune on either though.

But Goodman was a holdover signing...... they had to go out and get Gronkowski.

Lets just a say that I take all Bleacher Report prognostication with a grain of salt.

    Guys I would've cut...

WR Eddie Royal (don't want his $6M impacting 2014 cap for any reason)
    RB Ronnie Brown
    OT Michael Harris
OG Jeromey Clary (same as Royal, cap casualty)
    DE Jarius Wynn
    OLB Thomas Keiser
    CB Johnny Patrick

Guys I would've kept in their place...

    WR Richard Goodman
    RB Edwin Baker
OT Nick Becton (though I expect he probably won't make it due to a need for game experience)
    OG/C Colin Baxter
    DE Jamarkus McFarland
    OLB Frank Beltre
    CB Kenny Okoro

Their contracts are identical though, and I think they see McClain as a Tolbert type RB as well as a FB...so I think he gets the nod over Gronkowski who is more of a tweener H-back TE only because we're set at TE.

McClain was a bit of a disappointment last season...... I hope the new crew will get better production out of him.

This will be the most difficult final roster to predict in years. The crop of UDFAs looks like the best ever and we have so many underachievers coming back - I'm looking at you Larry English, Clary, Goodman, Mouton, McClain.....

This should be a fun camp and preseason this year. I hope to see strong emphases on fundamental and tough football. McCoy has said he will play the best guys he's got so there may be some surprises when it comes down to that final 53.

With Mark Anderson's release, wouldn't be surprised to see the Chargers make a move there, though I doubt it. If Eric Wright could get his head on straight, I wish we could make cap room for him, but again highly unlikely.

Last 5 In: Larry English, Robert Meachem, Damik Scafe, Thomas Keiser, Marcus Cromartie
Last 5 Out: Richard Goodman, Charlie Whitehurst, Jonas Mouton, Logan Harrell, Jeromey Clary
