Hey guys and gals, I am opening up this thread for you all of you to list who you would like to see gone, who you would like to see brought in via trade. Please do not just post I would like to see them **** can "enter name" because he sucks stuff. I want to see who you would like for us to trade them to get. Add draft picks if need be, so on and so forth.

Act as AJ in this thread, and put some trades together, lets see em!

Shaun Rodgers. Trade Cro or Chambers or a draft pick.

Ok, I would love to have Shaun Rodgers.....I doubt cro goes, but I wouldn't be opposed to them putting together something along those lines of Chambers and maybe some picks.

Why would they want Chambers? He's in his 30's, in his final year and hasn't played that well.

If the Browns wanted a WR we'd probably have to trade Floyd, Naanee or Davis. All of them relatively young, Davis probably giving us the least value.

Cromartie makes more sense. Clearly they need to shore up their secondary a bit.

I guess im just trying to figure out who would man the nickel slot if we move Cromartie?

Move up a safety....I certainly do not trust Paul Oliver or Weddle or Gregory.....

    Love this trade.

Miami would never take it. Miami may as well give us 2 firsts for Merriman, a guy who missed all of last season with a serious knee injury, a guy whos been caught taking steroids, a guy who's loves the hollywood spotlight, a guy who has been mixed up in legal issues.....

Lets just say we'll be lucky to get a 1st rounder alone for SM.

I think it would be mutually beneficial, Miami could use some use some youth at linebacker. Joey Porter is a vet with quite a few yrs under his belt. Channing Crowder is solid and young but he is a MLB and if I am not mistaken he doesn't have that much longer on his contract. They could use an outside LB like Merriman. It is obvious that we need help at DL and Philip Merling could do that for us he is young just like Merriman (Merling is 24) and we could start him at DE opposite Castillo. Merriman is a proven player when healthy not only that he is a pro-bowl caliber player. Hence the draft pick supplementing the difference.

I think this in win-win for both teams.

I don't want to see us start trading picks unless its for a superstar player, like NT Vince Wilfork, NT Shaun Rodgers, or maybe a SS like Michael Griffen.

The reason is there are a LOT of good DT's in this upcomming draft..... Gerald McCoy, Carlos Dunlap, N. Suh, Marvin Austin, Arthur Jones, Jared Odrick... All 1st round caliber D-linemen who are big enough to play in the 3-4.

Also ILB Brandon Spikes, RB Jon Dwyer, OT Russell Okung, OT Trent Williams, FS/SS Eric Berry, SS Taylor Mays etc.... all these guys I'd love to see in a Charger uniform. Its a tremendously deep draft next year.

I think if we make a trade it has to have 2 major concepts...

    1) Aquire a player that can help us NOW. We don't have time to wait for a project player, we need a stud.

    2) Aquire this player without mortgaging our future. Meaning don't trade 4 picks for 1 guy. And make sure the guy is signable long term.

We'd probably need to trade for a rental type of guy who's getting up there in age and has sort of a sizable contract and is on a losing or disappointing team. Anyone know where we could find one?

    Marcus Stroud Bills
    Shaun Rogers Browns
John Henderson Jaguars (although the Jags are 2-2 and in the hunt)
Grady Jackson Lions (old as the hills, but has 3-4 experience)

    that's about it.

If we released Hart today there wouldn't be a single team that tried to sign him. He's the kind of guy that doesnt make 99% of NFL rosters. He's already 32yrs old, has ZERO upside, and may possibly be the worst starting SS in the league.

As much help as we need on defense, I wouldn't have the sack to pass on if he fell to us. 5'11 230lbs, runs like Michael Turner. Has speed, power, vision, and actually fights out of tackles unlike anyone else we have.
