    I'm passing on these rumors

ESPN John Clayton is reporting that the Raiders are talking with the Lions to acquire Josh McCown their back up QB

Michael Silver of CNNSI is reporting that the Raiders and Calvin Johnson had a secret meeting (Ben Maller backs that fact up) but Silver is reporting a deal is already been made between Johnson and the Raiders.

It's not unusual for teams to have the 1st overall pick in the draft signed and ready to go. It is a little early.

I really dont want CJ in the AFC West if he's not playing for us. Although theres always the chance that Russell turns into the next Daunte Culpepper. In that case we dodged a bullet.

If they grab Johnson, who's going to get him the ball? With that swiss-cheese like oline of theirs, no QB will have time to throw.

Exactly. Moss is a stud and look at his production. Porter is no slouch either.

Sure is nice being able to have two "gimmie" games this season.

Until they fix that line, their offense won't do ****, I don't care how many Calvin Johnsons or JaMarcus Russells they draft.

If the Raiders do take Calvin, then how far does Jamarcus Russell drop?

McCown would be able to get Johnson, moss and curry the ball pretty well. He has experience throwing to talented WRs and has a pretty strong arm

I am still holding out hope that the raiders pass on johnson and take Russell

IMO its pretty much a gimmie that Oakland wont take Russell. Ive never had them drafting him in my mocks.

    CJ of course

They do not pick QB's in the first round and have passed on Rothlisberger ( instead picked Walter in the 3rd round) and Leinart while picking Walter in the 3rd round in 2005.

They just dont do it. Not Al's thing because he thinks he can get QB's cheaper like Stabler and Plunkett in years past.

I thought that Johnson refused to play for Oakland?

Anyways, we will continue to kick their sorry asses for many more years to come. Nobody wants to be a raider. Nobody.

I'd be surprised if the raiders could shake up a martini.
