The Oakland Raiders went from three-deep to knee-deep at wide receiver, and there isn't much time to find experienced help. Wide receiver Drew Carter is done for the year, as expected, with an ACL tear in his left knee. With virtually no NFL experience beyond starters Javon Walker and Ronald Curry on his roster, coach Lane Kiffin made it clear he wants to look outside for a third receiver. The Raiders can go after an unsigned veteran immediately, such as Falcons castoff Joe Horn. They also can wait to see which receivers hit the waiver wire when teams turn in 53-man rosters Saturday.
"There's not a lot of history as far as guys playing in the league besides Javon and Ronald," Kiffin said about his receivers during a conference call Sunday, one day after Carter was lost for the season in a 24-0 exhibition loss to the visiting Cardinals.
"None of those guys (has) really played before ... so it would be tough to only go with two guys who have played before."

Those worries have only been heightened now that receiver Drew Carter and fullback Oren O’Neal went down with injuries early in Saturday night’s 24-0 loss to Arizona.
