Geez! They already GAVE Randy Moss to the Pats, I guess Kraft gives a good reach around.

    ....for a 3rd round pick & a conditional 4th or 5th round pick in 2010.

    :icon_party:

We usually bundle and trade half our picks anyway.

31, probably has a few good years left in him.

Nice pickup by the Pats, the bastards.

But this is the year our homebuilt boys put a proper whipping on those old dudes come playoff time.

Hmmm....isn't it funny how "attitudes" change under Pat's coaching.

Oh, and they seem to find schemes for over the hill players that lead to wins & wins.

    Other teams......not so much...

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Thursday, August 6th, 2009 at 9:2 pm in Oakland Raiders.

Here’s the compensation for the deal which sent Derrick Burgess to the New England Patriots, as relayed by beat Steve Corkran, who called while I was driving home from Napa:

As it stands, the Raiders get a third and a fourth round draft pick in 2010. The Patriots, however, wanted to give Oakland a third and a fifth. Problem is, they don’t currently have a fifth-round draft pick. So it was stipulated that if New England acquired a fifth-round pick from someone else, that pick would be dealt to Oakland.

So expect the Patriots to acquire a fifth-round pick from someone else so they can keep their selection in the fourth round.

sorry for the chowder comment.

While I agree with the attitude portion of our show, I'm not sure where you're going with the "other teams" comment, but whatever.

Considering the competition (and I use that term lightly) in the AFC W, the Chargers could probably go 7-9 and still be in the playoffs.

(Not that I want that to happen, of course.)
