chilangos (people from Mexico City) do NOT care about the Chargers, they like the cowboys, steelers the most, followed by the patriots, 49ers, packers, et.

Well mind you they do still receive super bowl loser t-shirts over there. You can't expect them to follow the Chargers.

    Dos cosas:

Assuming that that's right (I have no freakin' idea) it would mostly just reflect
non-Americans principally following the best known teams.

Could be very different if a team actually made a sincere, intelligent, concerted effort to interest Mexican fans.

Second--and more important--the target demographic would be Baja (Norte)...not the very, very distant Mexico City...

p.s. I thought I had the "Chilango Combo Plate" at Robertos #1,653 yesterday...but now I hope not...

Football started being popular in Mexico City in the 70's so that's why most people follow the cowboys and steelers.

I don't see the logic of doing something in Mexico City to target northern Baja

Agreed, surprising they didn't target northern baja in the first place, at least to ***** colonet.

As someone pointed out, they had 20 years to "truly" court LA, and didnt, ticket brokers aside.
