Insanity. He had a good couple games of out witting Norv, maybe he can come here as an O-line coach.

Can we hire him as our O-Line coach? He has extensive experience there and we seem to need a better one.

Cable has major flaws personally...from what I read, which seems to align with Raturd history. The Raturds are really starting to show promise and this change seems premature. Maybe the Raturd owners don't have the same patients as Charger owners...and us Bolt fans...cough cough cough! Had a hard time writting the Bolt fan part.

What??!!! If the Chargers did that, they would have to fire Clarence first...

P.S. Shouldn't this go under the "NFL Coach Firings" thread?

Why would they have to fire Clarence first? I thought he was the OC?

Yeah, you have to fire somebody to make a vacancy before you can hire someone to fill one...

This is true, but the caveat you forgot to mention is that vacancy has to be created in the same place that the new guy is hired in. Clarence Shelmon is our offensive coordinator. Hal Hunter is our Offensive Line coach. So it's Hal Hunter, not Clarence Shelmon, who would have to be fired.

^In Soviet Russia, Cable fire you?

Don't delete the Russian guy's thread this time! lol

In all seriousness, maybe Al just hired him to get revenge on the AFC West? This move doesn't make any sense.

Don't we have 2 guys working the O line?, Hunter and Sullivan. I guess Hunter is the senior guy so it would be he to go methinks. Cable might actually like coming back into the AFC West so he can stick it to Al. Having said all that he does come across as more a Raider than a Charger if u know what I mean.

Raider ownership has to get rid of the cryptkeeper. Best season in 8 years, beats us twice, his players respect him, and he's gone? Why, he doesn't throw the bomb enough for the old dinosaur? Thinks he'll be the one to score the hot Captain Comeback (Harbaugh ain't that dumb)?

    My theory is this:

We have heard from X Raiders about how old uncle Al likes to install 'his' game plans every week. Warren Sapp (take it for what it is worth) said every Thursday a new defensive scheme would come down from Al's office.

Well Cable probably told Al, "I Coach, you sign pay checks'. So Al sai, 'ok, just not yours...'

I think this is a mistake. Cable had the Raiders going in the right direction.
