    Apparently tested positive for pot.

There was a non-zero chance he'd have fallen to us even without this news, but I figure that chance just increased by some meaningful amount. What are everyone's thoughts?

Would love for him to drop to us. But I seriously doubt with this news that our regime will take him. They have made it clear that they don't want to take guys with character concerns.

If you are that dumb man, you lose points on my board. You know it's coming, and yet you can't lay off it for a few days. Pathetic

While I don't like the fact that failing the combine test will automatically start Gregory in Stage 1 of the Substance Abuse Policy program, this in and of itself doesn't knock him terribly further down my board. Facts are facts, more than half the league smokes pot on the regular - the majority of them are just savvy enough to not get caught or to piss hot.

That said, I'm not big on Gregory's fit for us because I stand by my assessment and I don't see a guy who is anything more than an Antwan Barnes, 3rd-down specialist until Y3, or mid Y2 at the earliest. I don't see that helping our pass-rush immediately enough, by comparison to other available players, to merit #17. If he makes a Justin Houston-like fall to the 2nd or 3rd round, then sure, I can see value there. In the 1st? Nope. Not enough traits to support being able to win early... failed drug test or not failed drug test.

Just not a fan of his on tape. He does get double teamed quite a bit, but even when it's 1-1 he's just not a quick winner. I don't see much pass rush ability.

TT takes BPA and if Dupree, M.Brown and Gurley are all gone at #17 I'd take him.

I still don't think he makes it to 17, the only thing this does is possibly take Dupree off the board for us. As in, if a team were going pass rusher and they had a similar grade on Gregory and Dupree, they may go Dupree because he's cleaner.

Gregory might in being a steal for the Chargers. Especially if we trade back and load up on picks. A extra 3rd and grabbing him and Gurley in first two drafts would be incredible.
