    Redskins meeting with Quentin Jammer
Posted by Darin Gantt on April 21, 2013, 7:43 PM EDT
Any other year, and it would have been the Redskins bidding on Darrelle Revis.
Instead, they’re still working the fringes of the cornerback market, after being outbid on lower-profile players.
The Redskins have now turned their sights to former Chargers mainstay Quentin Jammer, and he’s meeting with team officials tonight, according to Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan.
Jammer, the Chargers’ first-round pick in 2002, has been on the market all spring with no apparent suitors.
The 33-year-old’s a fallback position after Washington’s failed run at Antoine Winfield. With their $18 million in salary cap penalties, the Redskins are shopping like they haven’t in years past, and the 33-year-old Jammer is what they’re reduced to.

Good for Q - he's not everyone's favorite player but he's done a hell of a lot of good for SD (both on the field and especially off). Wish him well :)

I am going to miss me some Q-Tip. I personally thought a lot of Q while he was with this organization. As Syd said above, I know he isn't everyone's favorite, but he solidified that spot for us for 10 seasons, stayed out of trouble, and gave back to the community. All of that holds a lof of weight with me. Good luck Q.

Yeah wonder how much the AJ connection had to do with it. Good luck to Jam even if he shoulda become a safety 3 yrs ago.
