Remember when Eric Weddle couldn't catch the football? He was always in the right position, but always dropped it. Then he spent the off season working on it, then had an 8 int season.

Whoever coached him, can you please work with Atari Bigby?!

I remember Gregory dropping a lot of INTs, not sure about Weddle. His whiffed tackles on the other hand....

I remember Weddle dropping ball after ball....... it really got to him too in that he began to doubt himself and wondered would he ever be able to become the ball hawk he and we thought he would be.

Happy that he put those worried behind him in 2011 and is continuing where he left off.

Dare I say it, but our secondary looks great so far this year. Of course, the improved pass rush helps them, but credit to Bigby and the CBs, they've played well. Of course with Weddle we now expect him to be great, so props to him too for living up to that.

I think great is stretching things. Cason has had issues, got very lucky at least once last week. Atlanta, if healthy, will be a big test with Julio Jones, Roddy White, Douglas, & Gonzalez. Probably play a lot of nickel in that game & should turn Phillips & Ingram loose.

The big change Weddle made was taking gloves off and playing bare handed.... he wore gloves all his career then last year he decided to go with finger taping instead  somehow it improved his hands which is still a mystery

If Cason gives any bigger of a cushion, he'll be standing in the parking lot. With the improved pass rush, you'd figure that Cason could afford to play closer coverage, but no such luck.

Bottom line is, whatever cushion the coach wants him to play, he should play. If he isn't, then yank his *** for someone who can/will.

Unfortunately, Wright is injured. Otherwise, we might see better coverage back there.

Yeah that does suck. Carr is still only 29. Might have something to offer.
