Ricky Williams would consider unretiring for the Chargers
Posted by Mike Florio on March 30, 2012, 1:47 PM EDT

When Ricky Williams retired earlier this year, few believed it would stick. And stick it may not.

Earlier this week, Williams told 103.1 FM in Austin (via ESPN.com) that the 1998 Heisman winner would consider playing for the Chargers.

Williams, who played in 2011 with the Ravens, ranks 26th on the all-time rushing list with 10,009 yards.

Given that Bill Parcells talked Ricky into retiring in the first place, it would be fitting for Ricky to finish his career where it started, if Parcells ends up coaching the Saints in 2012.

Ricky signed a 2 year deal with the Ravens, so they still control his rights if he wanted to come back.

It's because the new tunnel from Tijuana is almost finished... Goes right under the McDonalds at San Ysidro.

If he was our number three option I wouldn't mind draining his tank with us.

I love Ricky. Would definitely take a look at him. He's quietly had a very solid 2nd career.

He's 35, there is no upside there.

Why not take a guy like Vick Ballard (just for example) in the 4th or 5th and get just as much production, with more long term benefits?

Williams is done, LT has more left in the tank than Ricky does, but I don't think either could give us what we need.

I like Justin Forsett, I hope we look at that.
