This is terrible news. I had heard from numerous Redskins fans that Sean had really changed his lifestyle & attitude since the birth of his daughter. A truly sad loss. My thoughts go out to his family & friends.

I just heard it reported on our morning news. May God bless Sean Taylor and his family.

Fugging tragic.. what a terrible waste.

I heard reported on the radio yesterday that the attackers didn't even take anything. I really hope this doesn't boil down to some street level wannabe gangster BS.

    Tragic, absolutely tragic....

Another victim of the questionable US gun laws. This happens far too often. Only when a high profile name gets killed does one (me) really sit up and take notice.

I cannot believe how this has affected even me. I thought ST was becoming a great great player and a sensible human being. The type of guy I would love to have patrolling our defensive backfield.

For what its worth, my thoughts go out to his family, friends and especially his little girl.

    RIP Sean. :lt:

    My 2 cents...
Sean ran with some bad bad people in his past. He may have cleaned up his act recently, but my guess is that some of that shiit just caught up to him here. They shot only him. Not his girlfriend, not his daughter... just him. This was no robbery. This was a hit.

They said on the radio this morning it was the second home invasion of his house in recent weeks, and they cut the phone lines to the house before going in. I dont think it was a robbery.:icon_sad:

I had heard it was twice in 8 days.

This wasn't a home invasion. It was an assassination. Sick. Absolutely sick.

The assailant(s) left a knife in his bed after the first break in. If someone intentionally left a knife in my bed after breaking in, that should say something.

    RIP Sean Taylor

A tragedy indeed... the lives we lead (or led) have a tendency of catching up with us sometimes.

    This was no burglary.

    RIP Sean.

This is utterly senseless. Reports indicate that there was a previous break in when a knife was left on his bed. I wonder if this was a burglary or someone set out to harm him.

It appears the shots were fired through the bedroom door as Taylor was locking it. His fatal mistake was he should have been reaching for his peace maker instead.

Sean Taylor might have been the best safety in the NFL, and he is the most irreplaceable player on the entire Redskins team.

    This is terrible news.

The report I got from ESPN said that he and his wife heard some noises in their home, Taylor had a weapon (but ESPN says it was a machette) and after encountering the invaders two shots were fired one of which hit Taylor.

I'm the same age as Taylor and roughly the same age as Darrent Williams, I can't imagine such happening to people my age like that. RIP and God Bless his family and teammates.
