Rivers was hurt late in the second quarter when he was sacked by Craig Terrill and fumbled, with Darryl Tapp recovering for Seattle.

Rivers had been scheduled to play into the third quarter. But he was the last player to return to the sideline after halftime, escorted by trainer James Collins. A wrapping could be seen under the right sleeve of his jersey and he was holding his arm close to his side.</blockquote>
