    Tell Pete your opinion!

    AFC offense
Quarterback: Peyton Manning, Colts. Reserves: Carson Palmer, Bengals; Tom Brady, Patriots.
Comment: By far, the easiest of any position in either conference to pick. These three will go to Hawaii many more times together.

Now I know Pete has a hard job writing about all of these players and trying to have a good take on them. However does he just mail it in on the QB front I mean unless he has been living in a cave in the Ozarks how could he not know that Phillip Rivers has smoked Tom Brady in the QB rating department.

I know I know Tom Brady is great and has a lot of rings and stuff but I thought that players had to be having a pro bowl season this year in order to make the team.

I mean it isn't a big secret that Brady and the Pats are having some big time problems.

    December 13, 2006
By ALAN GREENBERG, Courant Staff Writer FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Three days after the Patriots' most lopsided loss of the season, 21-0 in Miami, Tom Brady was still somber. Brady is too prudent to say it publicly, but the way his team has been playing the past six weeks - 3-3 after a 6-1 start - he has to be wondering if these Patriots (9-4) are good enough to go deep into the playoffs.

And then there is always this chart that is on his company's web site and if you look at it very carefully way over there to the right is a little stat called Rating , now I don't want to come off as a wise guy here but as I understand it that is suppose to be a real good indicator of just how well a QB is playing.

When I look at the two I see that Tom has a 84.9while Philip has a 96.3 now I realize that it has been a long time since I was in school and a lot of things have changed but come on !!!

Merry Christmas whats under your tree?

Now before we get over ran with Tom Brady isn't the problem with the Pats or Rivers has LT , all of that goes into the QB position for sure but in the end we have the results and those are the Chargers with Mr. Rivers are 11-2 and the Pats are 9-4.

Rivers ability to stand tall in the pocket and delver the ball when teams have loaded up the box have lead teams to rethink their strategy and Rivers is QB ing the highest scoring offense in football.

    San Diego 13 g 32.7 avg
    Chicago 13 27.7
    New Orleans 13 27.1

Now my eyes are not what they use to be but I don't see New England any where in the top 5 , so my question to Mr. Prisco what other criteria are you using for your selection ? Just curious.

    Thanks your bud

    Ron :good:

PS Jamul Williams is the best DT in football hands down.

    Yes indeed it will.

Hey - here is a photo of a shirt I just dug up and have been wearing on gameday in my underwear. :ABQ2:

This is a RARE AFC Championship shirt from 1994. :helm1:

Check it out. :bolt: :helm1: :bolt:

Rivers wont get done dirty like that. although he doesnt quite have the passing yards of manning or palmer, he has quietly worked his way into the top 10 in that aspect. plus his td/int ratio is tops in the league. i think this will be the deciding factor on him going, let alone how good the chargers are doing.

I#m not angry about Rivers not be chosen to Hawaii. He#s in his
first year in excellent shape and we can wait for a lot of seasons
seeing him as playmaker in the charger's offense.
The pro bowl voters often elect persons, they know and which have been good. So Philip's future is to come and Brady will fade out.

Nothing's been settled yet. The Pro Bowl teams will be announced on Tuesday. From what I understand, fans votes weigh 1/3 and the players/coaches votes are 2/3. So there's a good chance Rivers makes it.

I would put Peyton, Brady, and Rivers in the Pro Bowl this year.

Even though Carson Palmer, statistically, is one of the best in the AFC this season, his team's record may be holding him down.

Putting Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Philip Rivers in the Pro Bowl would be tough to argue against, as they each are the QB of a division leader.

I know that, but he'll get in on name recognition and the fact that he's leading his team to another division title.

    Carson Palmer can't say that.

You roll it up and jam it into the front of your butthuggers?

Then you strut around the house tootin' yer horn and grabbin' the AFC Championship package while screamin' "CHAAAAAAARGEEEERRRRRRSSSS!!!"?

Apparently the comment is that Prickso snubbed Rivers in his prediction of the 3 QBs to go to the Pro Bowl.

I'm not sure what criteria the writers go by, but no matter what you go by, QB rating, team performance, wins, difficulty of schedule.... I think Rivers proved himself. Brady can't get more than 78 yards and no points against the dolphins? Yeah.... "Pro Bowl" performance.

78 yards in a shutout loss to the Dolphins should eliminate Brady from Pro Bowl contention. He wasn't deserving before that debacle.

Philip Rivers better get the nod to go to the Pro Bowl.

He is more deserving than Brady.

East Coast Bias all over again.

Pretty Boy Brady going over Southern Gentleman Rivers just tans my hide like no ones business. :mad2: :mad2: :icon_evil:
