It was in a TV interview.

I would say the Raiders defense is better than Broncos and Jets. Not sure about Panthers.

Still we have to find a way to stop going into the second half losing.
If we go into the second half against the Colts or Patriots down 15-0, we'll be in really bad shape.

Don't get me wrong. This was an awesome win and I'm happy!!! :abq1: :abq2:

Though we still have lots of improving to do and I'd say "we're on the right track!" :bolt:

Rivers has had some struggles against the Raiders throughout his young career. But, he once again proved to everyone his greatest asset, and that's his resiliency. The guy never gives up, and you can never doubt this Charger team in any game with Rivers at the helm. He's the definition of a leader. But, I still think that Carolina has a better defense than the Raiders. The Raiders simply play us much tougher because we're a rival, and we were in their house.

I don't think any Chargers fan will disagree with you there.

There may be some but I doubt theres lots.

Even Brees fans have realized that Rivers is the better choice.

When you get sacked as many times as Rivers was today AND give up a safety, I expect him to say that.

Wasnt his best game for sure but i dont think he sucked. He threw a horrible INT but he fought through some pressure and did make some key throws in spite of it. Dude is a fighter even when he isnt at his best. I have more faith in him when we are down than i did in Brees.

Our OL sucked. A 3 man rush and our OT's still give up sacks. That's pathetic. Hardwick is rusty and he was giving up 40 lbs to Sands.

but lets not forget his OL and running game wasn't all that great either. He did make mistakes no questions but also did what he needed to do

I think he did as well as anyone with an O-line playing like swiss cheese :icon_shrug: Only so much any QB can do when he's being sacked and hurried all day long.

Feed Hardwick more burritos! In all seriousness, I hope he knocks that rust off quick. Right now it's looking like he could have used another week of practice. Newberry might have been a better choice for today. Of course that's all just empty speculation and moot as well since we won regardless.

I like the last TD by LT. He got his 110 yds and 2 TD's, solidifying his place in Al Davis' craw. :icon_tease:

We used to build up to those plays with Gates and EP deep (15 yds) over the middle.

Next thing you know, there goes LT around the end or outside the 'B' gap for a chunk of feild.

And why were they running LT and Sproles in the 'A' & 'B' gap? They aren't built for that type of punishment..

I'm not sure we have a problem with the whole line. This was Hardwick's first game back and he'll round into shape. Goff is consistently showing his age or maybe he's getting tired of the game. I suspect once Hardwick gets the cobwebs out, the O Line will improve.

Rivers showed me something different today. It was AMAZING the way he stood tall in the pocket with pressure all around him, especially up the middle. That is the best way to rattle a QB, but Philip just hung in there, eyes still focused downfield. It reminded me of Dan Fouts.

The numbers weren't that great, but I think Philip comes out of this game a better player.

His last TD was a counter. Wish they'd do MORE of that. Love it when he cuts left, gets lost behind the line, then doubles back to the right and runs free. THAT was classic LT.

We use to lose these kinds of games. Rivers has brought this team back to win more than any other recent QB I can think of.
