I figured he would. Ben Roethlisberger withdrew as an alternate.

They got Schaub to replace Brady since Ben didn't want to,and VINCE YOUNG to replace Rivers.

Don't know just yet. Dielman, Gates, Kaeding, and Osgood are are still listed as going.

What would happen if Nate went, and MISSED a field goal in the game!!!??

    I can see that happening...

    (I hope Gates backs out)

Assuming he plays...he's either going to kick *** because the game isn't important OR he's now completely damaged goods and forever haunted by his misses so he misses easy FGs.

I'm going for the first option, since the game is pointless he will nail em from everywhere.

On the other hand, I doubt they kick FGs that often in the Pro Bowl anyway...it's meant to be a bit of fun for the fans.

The PB is a complete joke, so I hope no one cares that he withdrew from it.

I think the AFC team would sign Gradkowski as a free agent should it come to that.

No Joke - with so many guys injured there is a very real chance that if Manning makes the superbowl, Kyle Orton makes the Pro Bowl. Ridiculous. I'd rather see Ronnie Brown at QB.

As for Kaeding - if he goes out there and nails a 50 yarder or something like that I will throw something at my TV. If I even watch this game, what a joke at this point. "Hey, lets watch the fourth or fifth alternates pretend to care about a meaningless game!":icon_shrug:

honestly, i hope nate goes and does make some big kicks - making kicks no matter how important or not important right now will help his psyche and whether we like it or not he WILL be back in San Diego next season so we're going to need him to get his mind right somehow.

whether the kick "matters" in the game or not, it will be the first time he's done it competitively since the loss, all eyes will be on him so the pressure will certainly be there to perform. could be a good opportunity. just sayin...

Good point. He needs to be thrown into as much pressure or at least semi-pressure situations as possible.

By the way... any chance I could get the file to put that clip in my sig? I love that play where the two raiders run into each other. One of my favorite moments this season.

The little punk made kicks all last season. What good does it do? Pro bowl is no pressure.

It's still a kick to be made in a professional game. It might not be a big deal, but making kicks in gametime situations will help his psyche.

Nate isn't going to be cut - whether we agree with that decision or not he's going to be a Charger in 2010 so I'd prefer he overcome his demons. You don't have to want him back, you don't have to trust him, but if he's gonna be our kicker I don't see anything wrong with wanting him to get better and fix what's broken.

No it won't. The only thing that will is MAKING ONE IN THE PLAYOFFS.

    I'm sorry, did I say FIX? No. I didn't.

He needs to make A kick. That's step one. Build from there. He starts missing unimportant kicks, we're in deep ****. Start with the basics then tackle the big stuff.

I'm not saying it's going to fix him or that you have to trust him - just saying making that next kick and making it before the offseason gets into full swing is a GOOD THING.

Hell he could have missed every kick in the regular season and we would have still made the playoffs. I would rather him make all of the playoff kicks.

Was it my imagination or did Keading make a 62 yarder in the warm-up before the game?

Kaeding had no problem with warmups. It was all mental.

I hope he goes to the pro-bowl. That was we can see if he's ruined. If he makes his kicks keep him for the regular season and bring in a kicker for the post-season.

They had Jay Feely on ESPN. He was talking about Keadings misses.

How he opened up, (like a golf swing slice) when he missed wide right.

Purely mental he said and he had a similar game when he was with the giants.
