I doubt he'd want to come back here after Marty said he's washed up, but if he can get over that I say bring him back.

Although I am a bit concerned about his health after he's been injured a lot as of late.

He didn't seem that washed up in the Superbowl.

He may be by now, but he certainly wasn't washed up then.

He wasn't washed up at all when he left us. Now though... could be.

Do you go into instant hate mode against all former Chargers?

Rodney should've been the MVP of the Superbowl against the Eagles.

Why do you have such short term memory ?

Harrison was WASHED UP and also marked man.

He was also changing up the plays with Seau against Dale Lindsay's wishes and another reason he was let go.

Rodney is useless as a typical FS and needs a Cover 2 or better to hide his asss to split his responsiblities into smaller areas. Why ? No speed.

Dale Lindsey needed his plays changed.

The Patriots front seven should have been the MVP.

It is just like AJ stated about Ty Law "don't tell me how many INT's he had, How did he get them?"

Agreed although NEVER by the players. NEVER.

They un-ceremonially usurped the authority of the defensive coordinator.

If the coach tells you to lay down a bunt, you bunt.

Exactly. Junior and Rodney were the leaders of the team. If they would've bought into Lindsey's schemes, the rest of the team would've followed. But they refused to do so, setting a poor example for the young defensive players on the roster.

Lindsey was still a crap DC, but he was guaranteed to fail due to insubordination by the "sacred cows".

I don't buy into the whole "washed up" thing about Rodney. He certainly didn't play well under Lindsey's scheme, that is for sure.

I do think Harrison might be beyond his prime though .. we can do better.

It all depends on the price. You could do worse than to have Rodney around as your third safety. But I don't want to bring in Rodney as a starter. I don't think he has 16 full games a year in him any more.

Would he even want to come as the backup? I would think he'd look for a starting job. Although it would be nice to see him back on the team I don't think it'll happen.

I don't think he'd be willing to come. he had alot of sour grapes w/ the organization. Also I wouldn't weant him as a starter. I agree he don't have a full season left in him every yar.

I dont have a short memory. I still remember you were wrong about Drew Brees' "NUKED" wing.

Dr. Trumpie the scout has a bit to work on... Washed up. He has proven that to be a nother t-bone falsehood. Your taking his year he played injured and making assumptions from it that are false.

Do we need better safties? YES

Whether or not a 34 year old Rodney Harrison with questionable health is the answer to that is the question.

Rodney was not the answer 4 years ago and he's still not the answer now.

We need a young speedy gu with a real head for the game back there instead of Terrence "Cough syrup" Kiel.

I did not as the first question you answered. That is a given.

Besides we should just start puttin LBs back there because everyone knows a secondary is just supposed to bat the ball down...

Maybe we should put linebackers back there whenever the other team is going for it on 4th down. ;)

Rodney was starting to get up there in age, and with his contract, the Chargers knew they were not going to be able to keep him, and get Rodney a Super Bowl ring. He was cut loose so he could find a Team to get that ring.

Rodney was my favorite Charger when he was here, and is my favorite player in the NFL not currently a Charger. I know his best days are behind him and I cannot see him returning to SD because he still has a lot of bitterness towards our Front OFfice for the way in whcih he was treated.
