    Draftee's in attendance:

DJ Fluker: (Right Tackle) – Selected in the first round with the 11th overall pick. A mountain of a man measuring in at 6-foot-5, 339-pounds. Intimidating and nasty style of play. Possesses colossal 10-and-a-half inch hands used to manhandle his opposition. Anchored Alabama to consecutive BCS Championships. According to General Manager Tom Telesco, Fluker is a “cornerstone of the offense” for years to come.

Manti T'eo: (Inside Linebacker) – Selected in the second round with the 38th overall pick. Runner-up for this year’s Heisman Trophy. Instinctive linebacker who Telesco says has one of the highest football IQ’s he’s ever seen. Only the second Notre Dame player to ever post three consecutive 100-plus tackle seasons. The 2013 recipient of the Maxwell Trophy, the Dick Butkus Award, the Nagurski Award, the Lombardi Trophy, the Bednarik Award and the Walter Camp National Player of the Year.

Keenan Allen (Wide Receiver) – Selected in the third round with the 76th overall pick. Smooth route runner out of Cal with natural hands, some NFL pundits have compared to Larry Fitzgerald. Has a knack for making defenders miss after the catch. In 2011 he caught 98 passes for 1,343 yards and six touchdowns, garnering First Team All-Pac-12 honors in the process. 2012 season was cut short due to injury, but says he is 90% healthy.

Steve Williams: (Cornerback) – Selected in the fifth round with the 145th overall pick. Another Cal product, Williams is a speedy corner able to play on the outside as well as in the nickel. Chargers clocked his 40-yard dash time in the mid 4.30’s. Cal’s 2012 MVP on the defense side of the ball and earned third-team All-Pac-12 honors. Ranks sixth all-time at Cal in pass breakups.

Tourek Williams: (Outside Linebacker) – Selected in the sixth round with the 179th overall pick. Starred as a defensive end at Florida International. An all-conference selection the past three years in the Sun Belt. In 2012 recorded 46 tackles, 14.5 for loss, 6.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles Williams will be making the switch to outside linebacker with the Bolts as Telesco raves about his “high energy, high motor” style of play.

Bread Sorensen: (Quarterback) –Selected in the seventh round with the 221st overall pick. Physically gifted pocket passer who excelled in Southern Utah’s spread open offense. Possesses great arm strength. Named the conference’s Offensive Player of the Year by completing 67.8% of his passes for 3,143 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2011. As a senior, completed 273 of 439 attempts and 23 touchdowns.

    UDFA'S in Attendance:

Jahleel Addae: (Safety)- Central Michigan captain. Notched 80 or more tackles in his final three seasons. Recorded eight interceptions over the past two years.

Nick Becton: (Left Tackle) – High upside player who started only one season at Virginia Tech. Was projected by some to be selected as high as the third round in the draft

Frank Beltre: (Outside Linebacker) – Lined up as defensive end in college but will make switch to outside linebacker with the Bolts. Hardworking aggressive leader of his Towson defense.

Greg Brown: (Cornerback) –“Lockdown” Brown is coming off another standout season at Kansas. Ranked third in the league with 12 pass breakups in addition to a pair of interceptions.

Ben Cotton: (Tight End) – Primarily known for run blocking. The 6-foot-5, 256-pound tight end out of Nebraska was an All-Big Ten Honorable mention as a senior, catching 18 balls for 239 yards and two TDs.

Marcus Cromartie: (Cornerback) – Cousin of former Charger Antonio Cromartie. The cornerback out of Wisconsin ran a 4.35 40-yard dash and had his best year in 2012, earning All-Big Ten Honorable Mention accolades.

Kwame Geathers: (Nose Tackle) –A 6-foot-5, 342-pound product out of Georgia. Projected by many to be selected in the middle rounds. Telesco recently signaled him out as a player who can provide depth at nose tackle.

Michael Hill: (Running Back) – A compact 5-foot-10, 209-pound running back out of Missouri Western. Was the MVP of the RayCom College Football All-Star Classic, carrying the ball 12 times for 148 yards and two touchdowns.

Byron Jerideau: (Nose Tackle) – The 6-foot-1, 334-pound senior out of South Carolina is another player Telesco believes can provide strong depth at nose tackle.

Josh Johnson: (Cornerback) – Purdue cornerback plays a physical brand of ball despite measuring in at 5-foot-10, 199 pounds. Ran a 4.54 40-yard dash.

Richard Kent: (Punter) – Vanderbilt Punter named a 2012 Second Team All-SEC selection by coaches.

Jamarkus McFarland: (Defensive End) – The 6-foot-2, 305-pound defensive end out of Oklahoma was featured by the New York Times coming out of high school as an elite prospect.

Daniel Molls: (Inside Linebacker) – A tackling machine at Toledo, the inside linebacker recorded 166 tackles in 2012.

Brandon Moore: (Defensive End) – Former Juco player is a physically gifted 6-foot-5, 317-pounder who surprised many by declaring for the draft after one season at Texas.

Kenny Okoro: (Cornerback) – The Demon Deacon defensive back was productive over his four collegiate seasons, breaking up 38 passes and intercepting eight balls.

Randy Richards: (Right Tackle) – After two solid seasons at Missouri State, the 6-foot-3, 303-pound offensive lineman was projected by some to be drafted as high as the fourth round.

David Rolf: (Tight End) – The former defensive end played one single year at tight end at Utah

Luke Tasker: (Wide Receiver) – Son of Steve Tasker finished fifth in Division 1-AA in yards per game.

Devin Walker: (Outside Linebacker) – The 6-foot-2, 238-pound Southeastern Louisiana product is also making the move from defensive end to outside linebacker.

Mike Hermann: (Quarterback) – A 6-foot-5, 250-pound passer out of RPI, Hermann completed 619 of 1,078 passes for 7,177 yards and 57 touchdowns in four seasons. He also ran the ball 435 times for 1,935 yards and 20 TDs

    Mini Camp Tryouts:

Tony Burnett: (Strong Safety) – The Trojan safety initially walked on at USC and previously lined up as a cornerback and linebacker. Voted the team’s Special Teams Player of the Year for 2012.

Justin Cudworth: (Linebacker) – An outside linebacker out of Eastern Michigan was named to the Second Team All-Mid-American Conference, recording 85 tackles, eight for a loss and a forced fumble.

Riley Gauld: (Offensive Guard) –The San Diego State Aztec is a 6-foot-5, 300-pound guard who doesn’t have to travel far for his NFL tryout.

Chris McNeill: (Wide Receiver) – Wyoming wideout has caught 150 passes for 1,600 yards and 12 touchdowns over his career, with 63 receptions for 722 yards and five scores coming in 2012.

Sam Schwartzstein: (Center) – A leader on the offensive line, the Stanford center started every game in 2012 for a unit that surrendered the fewest sacks in the conference.

Anthony Williams: (Defensive Line) – The Fresno State Bulldog started the first six games in 2012 before suffering a season-ending foot injury.

Mathew Willmer: (Wide Receiver) - A product out of Fairmount State, Wilmer excelled as a wideout as well as a return specialist.

Not sure I have seen as good a haul of UDFAs ever. Picking up Becton, Addae and the 2 nose tackles looks like some real good business to me. I guess we'll be carrying on our NFL leading tradition of having an UDFA make the 53.

Why these guys in particular?, can you give us some insight?, have you seen them perform?, any reason why they went undrafted?

I'm just keen to get to know these guys, like I said on face of it seems like some haul of UDFAs, many have a real shot at making this team/PS.

I like Byron Jerideau alot: i watch him play at USC He is alittle stout but, he does good at getting low in the trenches and getting push forward rarely backwards. He is a protypical build and player for the 3-4 while he isnt exceptional.

Marcus Cromartie: i like him because he flashes potential, while his relatives arent the best they arent the worst, he has good ball skills, but his football IQ isnt extremely high.

Jahleel Addee: i flat out like him because at safety he tackles through people, he doesnt hit like a girl, he reminds me alot of rodney harrison.

Greg Brown: He was over looked terribly, while his interceptions numbers arent high, he plays with alot of heart, and fights for the ball, he has great man coverage, he could be a liability in the jump ball situations though.

Nick Becton: Can flat out blitz, we need a pass rusher , i like him for situational passing downs. His explosiveness is rather impressive.

Josh Johnson: has a good football IQ, isnt the fastest Corner, I think he ran a 4.59 , bt 40s are over rated. He can play but has stiff hips.

Kwamee Geathers: Is really tall to play 3-4 NT, but against the Alabama he rarely got pushed back, he fought and made his line better he could be an anchor with proper coaching.

i Like all the Udfa's theese are just my favorites

I am interested in seeing if Riley Gauld makes the team as a rookie mini camp tryout. The o-line needs as much help as possible, and I'm not sold on the interior guys currently on the roster.

Is it too early in the season to say, "Go Chargers!"?

That's odd since Nick Becton is an OT from Virginia Tech. Which games did you see him play on the defensive side of the ball? :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

I think Charger1993 was talking about Frank Beltre or Devin Walker????? We need pass rushers, I have a feeling one of them may make the team.

Other than that I really like Becton making the team never seen him blitz the QB but I hear he's fantastic at it :D Geathers, and BJ (the south carolina kid, I hate having to look up his name to see if I spelled it correctly.)

I really like Addae, (also note, Telesco mentions him when talking about players they scouted heavily on)

Brandon Moore has a good chance, and can be a steal. Very athletic for a big man, He came out of college early. We just need to develop this kid who knows where his ceiling is. has very good tape as well.

Looking at the kids here we have, one from Central Michigan Addae and Oklahoma McFarland, I'm curious if they were on the list before Fisher and Johnson or were these kids ones that really opened up some eyes while watching Fisher and Johnson.

    I think

Addae, Geathers, Moore, Jerideau, Beltre, Becton, and Brown or Cromartie make the roster (possibly both and possibly more make the team)

Chargers agreed to terms with No. 38 overall pick ILB Manti Te'o on a four-year contract.
Te'o will slot in next to Donald Butler as a starter at inside linebacker in the Chargers' 3-4 defense, but we suspect he will not be a three-down defender from the get-go. D.J. Smith could also give Te'o a run for his money.

Chargers agreed to terms with No. 76 overall pick WR Keenan Allen on a four-year contract.

Allen could turn out to be a steal as a third-rounder. He's currently recovering from a torn PCL, which he says is at 90 percent, and a banged up ankle. Allen will be all systems go for camp, and he should immediately contend for snaps with Malcom Floyd and Vincent Brown opposite Danario Alexander.

Chargers agreed to terms with No. 179 overall pick OLB Tourek Williams on a four-year contract.

Williams led FIU with 6.5 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss as a senior, but he'll likely see most of his action on special teams as a rookie.

Chargers agreed to terms with No. 221 overall pick QB Brad Sorensen on a four-year contract.
Sorensen (6-foot-4 1/2, 229) has good size, but he looks like nothing more than a camp arm for the Chargers. He'll get plenty of reps in rookie minicamp as the only quarterback rostered behind Philip Rivers and Charlie Whitehurst.

The Union-Tribune San Diego wouldn't be shocked if fifth-round CB Steve Williams is the Chargers' nickel corner.
Williams (5-foot-8 7/8, 181) is a tiny cornerback, but he made teams take notice when he posted a 4.42 forty, 40.5-inch vertical, and 10-foot-8 broad jump at the Combine. The Chargers don't have much at corner behind Derek Cox, so it's entirely possible that Williams could see meaningful snaps as a rookie.

I think he's just about as close as a shoe in for slot corner. Honestly wouldn't want anyone else to play the position for us, he adds speed and good man coverage, especially with all of the dynamic slot receivers in the league they are all match-up problems you need someone with this skillset. Not sure who should go opposite of Cox, guess that's what camp is for.

I'm assuming if Gilchrist transitions to SS, Wright will get first crack at the spot. It will also open up 2 or 3 more jobs for Cromartie, Brown etc to make the team.
