Can't confirm, but tons of posts on twitter that Keading has been replaced on the pro bowl roster.

Dan Carpenter from the Dolphins apparently replacing him.

    Interesting.

I dont get why he would do that, there is no bigger "no pressure" game in the world, and that seems like the only place nate would actually be able to make a kick in january, not to mention its the closest nate will ever get to seeing a super bowl

So, did he "boot" himself off the team, or did Norv "kick" him off because he couldn't trust his reliability? (No puns intended)

    Pointy :icon_twisted: (Laces out!)

I call BS on the injury. I think he is ashamed to show his face in public. I think it's a good thing because I don't want to see this choker on a football field anytime soon.:icon_evil:

Just talked to Nate Kaeding at Pro Bowl practice. He called last 10 days "nightmarish," said he wasn't mentally tough enough that day -- ka

    My response:
    MtnDogBoy

@sdutChargers He should look into getting some sports psychology help before his career goes bye bye!!!!!!

RT @sdsuaztec4: @sdutChargers Is Xanax for a kicker considered a PED?>Now that's actually sorta funny. Not hateful. See the difference? --ka about 3 hours ago from TweetDeck

Pulled out due to groin injury? I didn't know a groin was another word for ego. I bet he was missin' kicks in practice and faked the injury. I thought his job was safe for next year but this doesn't look good for him. Perhaps there will be some competition at the position come training camp?

I have to agree with you man. I don't want Nate to die or have anything personal against the guy since I heard he's a real cool guy. But I tell you I don't ever trust this guy to ever hit a FG again for this team after suffering through 2004 AND 2009-10. I have ZERO confidence in this guy hitting a clutch kick and I don't think HE has any confidence in himself. I would draft a kicker late in the draft myself.....

the problem is. Could the chargers find a better field goal kicker.

Nate just needs a crash cousre on getting tougher in tough situations. Coaches and teamates just have to give him sheet in practice when he's practicing.

Its the follow through. The follow through. the balls gonna go where you your foot is aiming at at the end of the kick.

I kicked a 27 yd fg to win a game in hs. Score tied @ 17, :05 seconds left.

It's a tough job, no doubt, but he has had his chances. I have NO CONFIDENCE in him with a game on the line in the next playoff game we have.

Hes 8-15 in the playoffs and 3-9 IN SAN DIEGO, so i think the better question is, can we find anyone worse?

Word! I mean, I can't imagine the pressure kicking a clutch FG and never will. However a Pro Bowl kicker will MAKE those FG's when we really need it and not choke (see Viniteri, Elam, etc.) I would forgive the guy if we're talking 50+ yarders here (even tho clutch kickers make those too) but 36 and 40? Like I said, I think Nate is a cool guy, but not a clutch kicker I would trust in the clutch. I've seen enough myself. Fool me once, shame on you, fool you TWICE (three times a Lady), shame on ME. Too bad A.J. and co. won't do anything but cross their fingers that "Finkel" will come through for them. I bet every time he lines up for a FG next season he'll be either booed or people won't be able to watch. And if and when he DOES hit a FG, people will be like cheering like he won the Super Bowl (watch). Poor Nate. Poor US!
